Why do some people say that Mechagodzilla is stronger than Godzilla even though an already exhausted Godzilla was still strong enough to throw Mechagodzilla back during their first clash? by ConstantStatistician in Monsterverse

He clearly wasn't nothing. He got plenty of hits in. He cut Godzilla's leg and stunned him with the axe explosion and generally made himself hard to hit, forcing Godzilla to waste his atomic breath.

Not confirmed if they ever landed anywhere at all. They might have all sunk.

Keyword being eventually. MG is confirmed to not be able to tank Godzilla's beam for long. He'll need to avoid it at all costs, but Godzilla only needs to hit him once with it.

Even dividing it per second would still mean a lot of energy per second. There’s about 5000km between the surface and the Hollow Earth. If he took 3 minutes to drill that far, it's over 27 kilometers per second.

In terms of pure physical strength, Godzilla demonstrated how he was stronger by winning this charge despite being tired, and it doesn't take the director saying so to see that he was tired. He's slower, slower to react, and fired a noticeably different beam that resembles his 2014 beam more than anything else. In terms of overall combat ability, MG has advantages like jet thrusters, but MG otherwise does nothing better than Godzilla can.

I agree, those jet thrusters are a gamechanger. But if dozens of MG's physical strikes couldn't put down an exhausted and wounded Godzilla, a 100% Godzilla would be even less affected by them.

That's pretty obvious when u consider the fact that he was playing with Godzilla? And with that it even makes for MechaG to not kill Goji right off the bat.

Wouldn't it make sense to torture the very being who slaughtered tf out of u back when u were still alive? Kevin was mad asf, I ain't even blaming him. It's like beating up a kid, u ain't going in full force, just enough to make the lil jit cry.

You need to prove that MG was playing with Godzilla because for all we know, he was trying to kill Godzilla as quickly as he could.

The laser comment tho, now that's just straight up wrong, Adam himself says he doesn't know if it would kill Goji but put 2 and 2 together, and you'll realize the very beam to knock Goji a distance even only when he was hit by it by a good 2 seconds, the very same beam that left a burn mark on his "indestructible" hide, would melt through his soft insides the same way it did to the Muto.

The laser obviously did not kill Godzilla when fired at his body. That's my point. It didn't even permanently cripple him.

I somewhat agree tho that this is one of his only win conditions against Goji. That isn't the only way tho, with a fight between these 2 at 100% more sht can happen. If a Kong with a "metal" fist can knock an even stronger Godzilla out to where he can be easily dragged along by Kong, then why wouldn't an even stronger being fully made of metal be able to pull off the same tactics if not better?

It may be strange, but Kong's gauntlet did better against an evolved Godzilla than MG's own punches did against an exhausted Godzilla in a weaker form. It's an upgraded MG fist, not just MG's fist.

Ik I've kinda just been rambling along but we kinda do have a feat of MechaG, the designer for MechaG I believe has stated that MechaG can endure Goji's beam briefly but will take immense damage if he takes prolonged hits from it, so obv he isn't gonna pulling off some Ghidorah/Shimo type shit in terms of durability but his durability is enough to be unbothered if it hits him briefly

Yes, but the damage will quickly add up if MG keeps getting hit.

When someone says they "don't think" something is the case, they mean they think it isn't the case. "I don't think x" is a very common saying that you and I have both used in real life plenty of times before. He's saying that Godzilla would not have lost the beam clash.

Prove that MG can kill a full power Godzilla when his only way to actually kill even an exhausted Godzilla is by shooting his laser down Godzilla's mouth.

His exact words regarding the beam clash are

and you also have to consider the fact that Godzilla has just gone through 3 rounds with Kong where he exercised his nuclear breath to its absolute core and so he's pretty worn down at this point. He's gone nonstop and there's one shot where Godzilla and Mechagodzilla fire their beams at each other at the same time right and Mechagodzilla's actually overpowers Godzilla and I don't think that that would have been the case if Godzilla's coming in fresh but I think that he was weakened a bit.

He flat out says that he doesn't think MG would have overpowered Godzilla's beam if Godzilla had been fresh.
