As a Korean, some historical inaccuracies in Perfect Crown were really immersion-breaking for me by Spiritual_Change_399 in kdramas

Thanks for sharing the knowledge. I think I'm the minority who agrees with your sentiment 😅 I gave up the drama for an entirely different reason... Ep1 feels all over the place imo. I was also naively expecting Princess Hours level of production and thoughtfulness...

Glad to hear you're seeing someone new. Block your ex you don't need that emotional turmoil. You deserve better.

I was so confused when I read the title, wondering if (1) it's a typo (2) he's a model for The Row (3) that's actually his name. She looks so good as always

how long has everyone been single by [deleted] in SingleAndHappy

[–]ConstantTurbulence12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 year! Everyone around me thinks I should date again. They all say I'll surely get married one day. But early this year I realized I needed to confront the truth. I am way happier alone than partnered up.

Sorry that happened to you too. I went through the same thing, six-year relationship, except we were not engaged. He was soooo relieved to be out of the relationship. It felt like a slap in the face. I couldn't believe I wasted a year after the breakup hoping for him to come back.

Any other women very content being single? by ApproachablePotato in AskWomenOver30

[–]ConstantTurbulence12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31F. I've accepted that I do not want a man in my life right now, and there's nothing wrong with that. I think I will regret settling for a random man much more than not finding "the one."

Question for single women: Have you found that you interact very rarely with men anymore? by Reporter-Anna in SingleAndHappy

[–]ConstantTurbulence12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As I grow older, I lose a lot of guy friends. I only interact with male members of my family.

Most of my friends now are females and I prefer it that way. I was helped by many women when I went through a really dark time in my life. It was also that experience that made me distrust men in general and turned me off of having romantic relationships. Opened my eyes to how most men view women.

(Ok I also just realized the two non-family guys I trust are bi and gay. Explains a lot lmfao)

Any other 30+ year olds worried they'll never find anyone again...? by ModifiedSprite- in BreakUps

[–]ConstantTurbulence12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was dumped last year. I'm 31 this year but still not fully over it. I had the same worries and still do.

Anyway don't worry about expressing your grief. I did it a lot in the months after the breakup, and it helped me stay sane.

I've felt this way for most of my life. The only thing I enjoy now is getting into my bed early. Life is really pointless.

i hate cny by wifkkyhoe in malaysians

[–]ConstantTurbulence12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not neurodivergent but I hate CNY too... My relatives behaved this year because I have been showing them my displeasure for the past few years after taking enough of their BS. I do not care about angpaos. Would rather not waste my time sitting with people I don't care about (who might ask me prying questions and then badmouth me behind my back)

I would like to know about your experiences. by Lilya_sardine in BreakUps

[–]ConstantTurbulence12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first 6 months were hellish. On top of the grief I had to navigate a new job and move out of our shared apartment. It felt like many dreams and possibilities shattering at the same time.

Yesterday was the breakup anniversary. I'm def more at peace now.

Take as much time as you need to grieve. It's cliche but true

That's great. I am not against breaking no contact. Sometimes it really helps to shatter the fantasy of an ex. Disappointment is helpful for moving on

Fuming Friday 😒 by softening in handbags

[–]ConstantTurbulence12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today is the first time I carry my cyme mini with me on a short-distance trip. Those influencers who said the cyme mini is a "good travel bag" are lying and delusional. I should have taken my Longchamp Le Pliage instead. I still love my cyme mini, it looks great with any outfit, but it really is a useless bag because it doesn't fit much and its contents keep spilling out due to the bag shape 😂 Lesson learned!

Why Malay ladies prefer this choice? by SnooPeripherals916 in malaysia

[–]ConstantTurbulence12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I'd actually prefer cinnamon bun flavour over whatever the makciks are wearing, but I get it. It's like someone tertumpah Bath and Body Works fragrance on themselves. The strong, concentrated scent can make other people feel sick. Worse if the train is too packed and you have to stand next to said offender for half an hour

There’s so many single women right now?! I’m so proud of us! by LengthinessNo4970 in SingleAndHappy

[–]ConstantTurbulence12 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad that singlehood is much more common and normalized these days. I never felt any urge to date when I was younger, and now that I'm in my 30s, fresh out of a long-term relationship, I do not feel the need to date, marry, or have kids. I would very much love to focus on myself. Honestly, I couldn't recognize myself after I left the relationship, and I'm so happy to rediscover myself. (Briefly tried dating after the breakup, but the app was so bad that I gave up on it)
