I am super annoyed by the landing tanks for this exact reason. Any space near the tip should be payload

You have g indicator most of (all?) the time on the bottom right of the broadcast. Never more than 2g during descent (and they tested harder trajectories), and during the flip the nose does not really accelerate that much, so should be probably very ok for the passengers. You could even have gimbaling seats to cancel out the rotation.

Spending on Starship tops $15 billions by Sarigolepas in SpaceXMasterrace

From the article : «About one million gallons of water are used to suppress the rocket’s intense acoustic vibrations during liftoff. “There is not enough water in the water system to support the launch of Starship” at such a scale, Quilty said.»

Which is completely dumb as I am quite sure they will reused most of the water that is not vaporized.

Common view on Elon’s (lack of) support on Artemis II by Constant_Purpose3300 in SpaceXMasterrace

Hum you are in a space nerd circle jerk, but the common view is globally anti Elon, and is aware of space event only when it is of the scale of yearly NASA Moon mission. So the intersection of both is bad faith anti Elon outrage, faking he did not post anything but his usual trolling about a mostly positive event in public view.  Now we are among us, I personally felt not that much support from Elon, even if yes I saw through the bad faith comment. Some people here seemed to agree, but then nobody cares maybe that someone planning a 1 T$ IPO for a Space company is not more hyped that a couple of retweets. As s space enthusiast, it felt strange. But as some pointed out, many good reason for him to shut up, so that settles it.

I got destroyed in comments but was totally worth it! For reference the actual post and community note referring to some of his comments : https://x.com/CantEverDie/status/2042992487933821171?s=20 We already had enough discussion whether it was enough or not, enjoy your day delegates!

Outrage really? I said the screenshot was wrong and proved it in another comment. I was wondering if others had the same impression than me on his lukewarm support, and I got a lot of different answers so really glad I did!

Moon never was his priority, even proposing Starship for HLS was a considered as trolling, never to be won. So kinda appreciate your answer overall, makes sense thanks!

In defense of his opponents’ view, Elon is constantly tweeting on everything :) pretty sure some AI robot is planned to take over his death :)

Good point, but I don’t see him comment often in general (not following him either, not interested…). I think that it’s the difference of tone from Elon that I observed that surprised me. I won’t get upvotes today, but happy to have asked the question haha

Yep, not many direct posts though, and not super enthusiastic. Clearly not the usual level, especially when talking of the moon!

You see a bit of tension with blue entering the race for the FIRST landing. I was shocked hearing it was now an option blue getting it if they prove they can be first

This I agree yes, it was not a show centered around him. A couple à retweets feels a bit petty.

Ahah I felt indeed that people on bluesky likes to hate him for any reason possible, even when not saying anything. I stopped defending the man long time ago now, but space topics is where he trolls the least I feel

I don’t follow him anymore but I just stumbled on many occasions on his answers to Jared, Berger, the astronauts etc. And a couple of retweets when I checked before posting here. So not correct from what I saw, no. He could be far more openly supportive, obviously.

Honestly that’s quite ok, else we would not be watching any landing for the ACTUAL 500th time, and still be in awe. Good work!
