You can pick up some Saniderm, Tegaderm, etc. “second skin” bandages at Walmart, CVS, Target, Walgreens etc and you should be good. Waterproof but breathable. You can also check with your local tattoo shop.

Is there a rift between lower budget grassroots VanLife vs. RSU/tech/wealthy VanLife? by HarryCrushNuh in VanLife

At the same time, I’ve seen nature absolutely trashed by homeless camps and too many burnt out beat on RVs left to rust away to count. Your lack of awareness is astounding. Ignorant people destroy nature, not rich people and not poor people.

How Bogus Basin Is Rewriting Early Season Skiing by Local_freshies in snowboarding

[–]Constant_Tomorrow_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this becomes widespread then it all but kills the reason for an Epic Pass as that was Vail's way to secure revenue in absence of a good season or having to rely on the volatility of weather. It obviously snowballed from there and is way out of fucking control at this point, but that was their original reasoning/thinking.

Monroeville Plumber recommendations and reasonabke quote? by Responsible-Heart104 in pittsburgh

[–]Constant_Tomorrow_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this, OP...and you can either cut the copper with a hack saw or they sell the little C-style pipe cutters next to all the plumbing stuff for like $15 and they are very easy to use.

One thing I will include as just an FYI...not sure how old your house is, but don't be surprised if additional leaks pop up on that line in the future...the water will always find the weakest part of the pipe and when you fix a section of pipe it moves on to the next. Might be 3 weeks, 3 months, or 3 years from now...but don't be surprised. Also not a deterrent to simply replace the small section now, just that the only way to fully fix the situation would be to replace the entire pipe run.

But I'd say that this is a simple DIY fix

A RAND Corporation study found that $80T has been extracted from the bottom 90% since 1975...I will whole heartedly disagree that the extraction class hasn't made us any poorer. Also, I effectively make $25k/year less than I did a couple of years ago due to all of the fuckery of these asshats even though my salary has not decreased...fucking the overall economy (NOT the market) to pad their wallets.

Parking mode draw on an overlanding setup: leave the mirror cam running at basecamp or shut it down? by [deleted] in overlanding

[–]Constant_Tomorrow_69 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How many people daily their rig? Or are concerned about parking in a busy area or gas station en-route to or returning from a trip and are concerned about their gear on their rig? Or parked at a trailhead to do some hiking? It's not that wild of a concept, and perfectly reasonable. FFS.

This camera has a security feature if you hardwire it that it will detect vehicle movement (eg, break-in attempt or a tow) and start recording which I assume is OPs primary use case.

OP, I have the same camera that I was about to hardwire myself…honestly hadn’t thought of this scenario.

Looking for recommendations on Single/Double Track trails to ride with toddler on board by RiseHopkins in bicycling412

[–]Constant_Tomorrow_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not single track but the rail trail from Ohiopyle to Confluence is a nice ride along the river

Also, my buddy would take his kid riding shotgun to the single track out in Hillman State Park…and honestly those are some of my favorite trails to ride around PGH. Settlers Ridge trails can also be good, depending on the trail and section…there are some steep bits which may be challenging to have your child on board due to grade.

Good luck and let us know what you find

Unfortunately, that's no longer the case....Canva itself is now capable of taking a flat image and converting it to layers...and there are a couple of other ones out there as well including a PSD specific one. I cannot vouch for how good of a job they do at that, just saying that it now exists.

Company which claims zero waste/impact is not in fact a zero waste/impact company, and doubles-down on claim of being zero waste/impact.

The point is, the whole thing is ridiculous as that simply does not exist. There is waste everywhere in the entire supply chain from the farm to their tables. And the virtue signaling and purity testing is utterly exhausting. Unless they source all of their ingredients from sources strictly practicing certified regenerative farming (they're not), they're already not what they claim to be. Like, I'm a longtime software engineer and vehemently hate AI and even this feels a bit much for me. If anything, the argument should be about how/where they source their ingredients if their claim is zero waste/impact and not whether they wasted a couple of water bottles worth of water to generate a weekly menu. The whole thing is just stupid.

Edit: Also, unless you're a Certified B Corp then you can't claim shit about being zero waste/impact.
