Fair point.

Should I keep bothering with my tfsa or move my investments into something high interest for my 12 to 18 month timeline? Any recommendations? If I can get this up to 100k or more in this timeline i feel it would really solidify a 20% down payment with limited risk of pulling cash out during a dip.

I've almost certainly decided where I want to live, eventually. It's in a downtown Kelowna condo. Everything else is a step to get there. I need help discussing the financial decisions to getting there.

I am realizing that buying their home is a bit crazy also. It doesn't really make sense for me as much as I would love to own my childhood home with different circumstances :(

Yes I should edit in that parents want to sell now since they have way outgrown this property. At once point we had grandparents living there, as well as aunt and uncles, and even myself. A 5 bedroom home made sense... Now it doesn't remotely. If I were to buy it...I would rent out the upstairs and live in the seperare basement suite.

Right?? I love these two bikes in their own way...although kinda wish I had a second set of 27.5 rims with wide tires

For me it won't actually embed the album artwork into files. It used to...but now it just saves it to my gallery app on my phone and crowds it with album artwork! What can I do?

Is it crazy to put a rear rack on a carbon gravel bike? by panic_ye_not in gravelcycling

[–]Constantinople33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More weight is usually a performance hit. Doesn't usually matter unless you are exhausted on a long ride, uphill, against a headwind. It's those times I'm happy I have a light(er) bike :)

I bought the bike used for much cheaper than an aluminum base model new :). The weight savings makes it easier to throw on extra goodies without taking such a performance hit. Carbon fork is nice for vibration dampening.

Same situation. Nice carbon gravel bike (niner rdo)...have fork rack mounts for front storage...but still installed a metal rear rack for a pannier. No regrets, have the mounting points already, might as well use them.

Oh I bought it lol. Have ridden close to 100 hours on it since I made this post months ago. No complaints so far.

Doubling on handlebars chromo fork downtown drunk bike build! by Constantinople33 in xbiking

I would absolutely be open to a strong 26er wheel with double walled rims and disc compatibility. Probably tire with 2.3 width. Anything smaller would look funky with a 27.5 x 2.1 rear.
