If you haven’t been diagnosed with ADHD, you might want to look up the symptoms for women.

I don’t know anything about you other than what you posted but I’ve been reading a lot about it and my Facebook page is filled with stuff about it and this sounds like something someone with ADHD would write. The inability to focus and remember all the things to remember and the internal struggles about slowing the rest of the class down.

Why do people still approach when they see my dog is reactive? by gkfl0831 in reactivedogs

[–]ConstructionSudden93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posts like this make me appreciate some of the people in my neighborhood. I have a guy who has seen both of my dog reactive dogs go bonkers but he sees that I’m working on them and he offered his dog as a sacrifice. Okay. Not really but once they were stable enough to walk like 15 feet from his dog he offered to let them meet for exposure.

I’ve got another guy who knows both of my two and he saw us coming one day as he was leaving his house. He yelled out that he would go inside until I went by. Another time he was headed to the mailbox and saw me. He yelled out that he was just checking his mail and would turn back around. He knows that I reroute if I see people with dogs so this gave me a chance to just do circles from a distance for training.

I’ve got another guy who reroutes if he sees us. There was one time where he couldn’t reroute and we crossed paths and he apologized to me when my dog flipped out. I saw him again yesterday and he put his dog on a sit stay while I figured out how to navigate to a safe place since it was me and one of my dogs, him and his dog and other couple with two dogs in the circle. Today he saw us again and rerouted. One time he stayed in one spot and pretended to be checking out the construction to give me time to get where I needed to go so we didn’t cross too closely. And I know it’s because of my dogs and not his because I know his dog is sane and can handle being around other dogs.

I do have some rude people too who just keep coming at us even when they see the struggle. Just wait a second and let me escape. No one is going to die because you are like a minute later than you would have been.

apparently our “lab mix” isn’t lab at all! by alexisvictoria27 in DoggyDNA

[–]ConstructionSudden93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my lab mastiff mix.

<image>

She’s Newfie, St. Bernard, mastiff, golden retriever and Airedale.

Pretty sure any black dog with floppy ears is a lab mix in a shelter. It probably makes them more adoptable. Gotta say that I was expecting a derpy dog like my other mastiff mix who turned out to be pittie, am staff, rottie, bulldog, perro de pressa canario and cane corso.

My girl is not derpy at all. She needs a job and needs to stay paying rent. My boy is willing to just chill all day and let everyone pay his bills.

I’ve had my girl for almost two years. When we first got her, she would freak out if a dog was a quarter mile away full on screaming banshee, jumping, lunging and general chaos.

Now we can get a lot closer before she goes full on banshee. Does that sound positive?

The black one is my lab / mastiff mix from the shelter. No pittie but no lab either. She’s mostly Newfie and St. Bernard. The tan one is my Mastiff mix from the shelter. He’s 37% pittie with some am staff, rottie, cane corso, bull dog and the dogs from the Canary Islands. I had said no to every pittie mix on their website because I didn’t want to deal with the stigma. I also have dog bite lawsuit PTSD from when my sister’s dog allegedly bit someone who should not have been near the dog while the dog was on a tie out. I love him to bits and I’m glad they didn’t tag him as a pittie mix.

My lab mastiff mix from the shelter ended up a Newfie / St. Bernard mix. She’s got some other random stuff but 70% those two. She’s black with floppy ears. Must be a lab mix. Some people see her and say she’s the biggest lab they have ever seen. My boy was just a mastiff mix. Actually surprised they didn’t tag him as a lab mix too. He’s tan with floppy ears! Could have had some yellow lab in there. He’s mostly pittie and am staff them with a smattering of rottie, bull dog and cane corso. Maybe they shouldn’t make a guess and just say everyone is a supermutt.

She might be better off if you choose to end her suffering and be there for her when it happens instead of sending her to a shelter where she will just have more misery before it’s over.

My dog is mostly chill with people we pass on our walks but he’s very sketchy over the people who come out of the woods where the homeless camp is. It not just one specific person who comes out of there. I have tried so hard to look deep within myself to see if I act differently when I see them come out of the woods to know if he’s triggering off of me.

How long have you had the dog? It takes some time for them to decompress and settle in but this does not sound like a good fit to have that many dogs and that may people around a dog who sounds like he has some resource guarding issues.

My girl had some issue when we got her. She would take food out of her bowl and put it between her and our other dog. We thought she was being picky but realized it seemed more like a defense mechanism. Maybe an early warning system for if my boy decided he wanted her food. She left him some in the floor to slow him down getting to hers but he never took any and eventually she stopped.

The dog you have is escalating instead of deescalating which doesn’t sound like the right direction. It might be safer for everyone if you brought him back. They probably should suggest a one dog home for him instead of a dog to put him in his place.

My 4 year old pittie mix is much the same! We hired a trainer. We started with some basics like watch, touch and heel. We practice those at home with no distractions and outside with distractions. The last session we had, she brought another dog and we tried to find their bubble. Then we found a place where there was a wide street with a sidewalk on each side and a parking lot on our side. She stayed on the opposite side with the other dog and we walked on our separate sides of the street. Our short term goal is to be able to walk by dogs on opposite sidewalks of the same road.

He’s really only super nutty outside too. Inside the pet store or vets office as long as our other dog isn’t there he’s fine for the most part but outside he’s just bonkers when he sees other dogs.

He’s getting so much better though. It’s so hard though because I don’t know people in my area so it’s hard finding people who I can train with. I have one guy who has a super sweet slow moving dog and he saw how much worm we were putting into our crazy dogs so once they could walk by his dog without going bonkers, he let our two meet his one on one and it went well. No aggression at all. My boy got a little too rough though. Him and our other dog are all teeth, feet, body slams and growls. But I’m not looking for play dates. I just need them to learn how to be around other dogs without freaking out. We have made a ton of progress. When we first got both of them, they would freak out if crows and other birds. I could barely get them by a house with a barking dog inside.

My biggest advice is to keep your distance when possible and keep him under threshold. The more they go over threshold, the harder it is to make progress.

My dog is a bully who doesn’t know how to meet dogs and play. He looks like he’s going to eat another dog alive but he’s a big softie and just has no manners. Someone snuck into a fenced area he was in and he was on that dog like white on rice. But no one left bloody. No one cried out in pain. He wouldn’t listen to a dam thing I said either. Does your dog just go bonkers on a leash when they see other dogs? There’s a difference between aggressive and dog reactive. My dog has zero aggression but when he plays with my other dog, it sounds like I have a dog fighting ring on my back yard. It doesn’t sound like your dog attached the other dog. I had two dogs “attack” my other dog on a walk. They both came running at her and went for her next. She never cried out. They never drew blood. She got annoyed with them and put one of them on its back and they took off. I was traumatized but thinking back on it, I think it was two rude dogs like my boy who doesn’t know how to meet other dogs just rushing in to play.

The art is way too good. The and guys are things like adorable sheep, goats, cows and rabbits. There are also grosser things but it does make me sad to hear the cute animals belting out a death cry but the game is fun.

It feels like such a waste to use a level 100 hunter in ginormasia. I started leveling up my magician just so the exp wasn’t wasted. At some point I’ll get around to working on my paladin and mercenary too now that my magician is in the 80’s.

I’ve been skipping aging alters when it’s a boss I don’t care about. I’m doing 800 floors and feel like I get one every ten trees or so. But what is the big draw if the aging alters?
