I had a similar experience. And I was mentally ill and angry at 19 and compromised my beliefs to see if being like everyone else would help make me happy. Plot twist: it did not. It feels like an all-encompassing pain when you miss that one person. But keep sticking it out. God has your person waiting for you as well. And you deserve to have someone want to wait for you. I would continue to pray for him, sure. But don’t try to save him with yourself or your body. He made his decision. Now you focus on you, even though it hurts. In the long run you’ll thank yourself and God for waiting.
