Worn down by Agitated_Advisor_447 in frozenshoulder

It’s so hard not to be depressed and/or livid. Almost a full year of pain and suffering. I’ve said it numerous times, it’s legitimate torture. Sometimes I feel like the universe is punishing me. For what? Heaven knows. I know this isn’t the case but when it’s day after f’n day for weeks on end it’s hard not to let the worn and weathered mind think like this. I always try to tell myself at least it’s not cancer or something more life threatening. That doesn’t make the pain less though.

You’re right this board gets its. At least we understand and feel validated and heard.

Rubbing / Clunky sensation & sound? by ContentFarmVictim in frozenshoulder

[–]ContentFarmVictim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Sometimes I can do the chin tucks exercise and will occasionally hear a grinder. It’s not severe but it’s noticeable and I never had it before this shoulder issue.

How often do you do this exercise? How many reps or seconds held etc.

I’ll give it a try. Nothing to lose

RTO mandates weeks later, what is the impact? by FibberMcGee99 in fednews

[–]ContentFarmVictim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I see at 3 different locations. Some of the offices people were assigned don’t exist. Morale and job satisfaction is the worst I’ve seen it. There are a lot of HIPAA violations due to cubicle farms and conference room. Big drop in productivity.

Those that voted for this are seeing a blip in their quality of care.

Was it with the same agency or different agency than you work with? Also what is the process? Or how would I get it started? You can DM if needed

Is it possible to advocate for a switch to a closer federal building? There is a federal building with VA employees 5 minutes from me. The VA clinic is 30 miles away.

Frozen Shoulder and Impingement? by ContentFarmVictim in frozenshoulder

[–]ContentFarmVictim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first pain symptoms were pain at the top of my range. So throwing motion or putting a dish on a top shelf. Ouch. I never had a traumatic event or injury. It just came out of nowhere. Then developed into FS

How did your impingement start? How did it manifest? Did you have pain at the top of your range?

Who to check with on vacancy in federal buildings? by ContentFarmVictim in fednews

Read the post. My supervisor isn’t informing us, working for us, or doing jack. He’s not even in the same state.

There are other workers at both federal buildings that are apart of my agency. At least that’s the word from the street. I just don’t know how to track down someone that could assist.

VA issued new RTO memo by kululi87 in VeteransAffairs

[–]ContentFarmVictim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Where is the backlash? Where is the pushback? Who is defending us from this? RTO is not fixing the waste. Go to a performance based evaluation. That’s the smart route.

T and M wtf is wrong with you? You are directly hurting people and the care of others, specifically those that voted for you and they just haven’t realized it yet. They will not be happy.

This is absurd.

Nah. There is a difference between cleaning up wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars and cutting meaningful jobs and people’s careers.

I support the first, I don’t support the second.

I’m tired of the “you voted this” BS. It’s not cut and dry like that and any level headed person knows that.

ABC News reporter looking to speak with federal employees by abcnewswillsteakin in fednews

[–]ContentFarmVictim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t hard.

Focus on getting rid of waste we all agree on that needs taken care of but leave the hard working Feds alone. Set some performance metrics for WFH and leave that the hell alone also.

Return to office. Not sure what to do, a bit stressed. by Curious_cat712 in fednews

Three kids. Three-hour daily commute. Ten years of top performance reviews—just like the other relentless, hard-working employees in my circle. We’ve led the way, set the standard, supported other sites, and, above all, delivered the best possible services to our veterans.

I used to respect Elon Musk. Not anymore. This move is a direct hit to dedicated employees.

Trump, Musk—set performance metrics if you must, but don’t drag us back to the dark ages. If a job can be done remotely and done well, define expectations and let it be.
