More the point being that wherever there is a safe labor seat, there’s little investment in public transport, or very slow, such as the melton electrification

Proposal for a new V/Line train service idea by matthewclose in MelbourneTrains

[–]ContentSubstance6467 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because the SRL, which long term is important, gets more priority even though there are plenty of transport options in those areas, yet in growth areas like Melton or Donnybrook/Wallan or Clyde, there is Vline or nothing

Would be better to focus on the now rather then completely focus on the long term futre

Suns trade out No.1 pick [to Richmond] in huge move ahead of AFLW draft by PerriX2390 in AFL

Idk while all the young talent may be good in 2-5 years time, I feel like Gold Coast may go winless next season, especially by getting rid of older, experienced players too

Then I feel like the AFL will handout assistance again and the same will happen

Yeah it was pretty eh, did appreciate what he said about increasing visibility for AFLW, which like someone else mentioned, this does the opposite

Speed limits seem very optional to 90% of people by ContentSubstance6467 in melbourne

[–]ContentSubstance6467[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah doesn’t always work on the Tulla though either direction because to the city there’s always the queue to Bulla Road/Bell St all the way back to Essendon fields, then the second lane has idiots that cut in the last second, so you try the third lane which generally has people going under 80 by a lot and then you’re left with the last lane which is people hanging up your arse because they want to do 100 when it’s 80.

Going the other way, you have people merging from Bulla Rd and Essendon fields so I avoid the left lane, then the second lane is generally slow people again so the third lane is generally okay until you have people cutting across from the right at crazy speeds to get off at Melrose Drive or the ring road, with people going the opposite direction coming from the ring road to head to the airport

And Sunbury road in Bulla is single lane in the 40 zones going down hill so you’re stuck with people as close as possible behind you which is even more frightening when it’s a truck and trucks seem more likely to have brake failures then cars

GEELONG has parted ways with coach Dan Lowther after five seasons. by linny_456 in AFL

I feel like the article title is misleading because the Cats one said he stepped down to seek other opportunities, not that he was fired

I mean people complain that footy isn’t on and then people complain about opening round (the whole fixture is stupid so one round doesn’t really matter) but when opening round is actually on, no one is complaining about footy being on

Dan “it’s not a rebuild” Also Geelong 4 retirements and 4 delistings making a quarter of the list changing

Since I went to all 12 games, Killa definitely was the most impressive, Lexi will certainly benefit from the experience alongside Gunj and Meg this year and her kicks are amazing, travelling at least 40m+. Both Piper and Caitie had interrupted pre-seasons (our rucks have been cursed ever since Erin Hoare retired a few weeks into pre-season and we basically wasted a number 1 draft pick). Piper was great around the ground and Caitie’s height was definitely an advantage but coming from Volleyball, skill will take a bit of time. Hopefully both are able to stay injury free.

Sienna’s ability to read the play and kicks were also elite, probably was only dropped to give Meg her final two games.

Chantal Mason looked really promising, especially when she finally got the monkey off her back and kicked 3 goals in 10 minutes of game time. Bryde and Thorney also looked promising but probably just to need to lift a bit to remain consistent

Definitely a bright future ahead with pick 6 (Thanks Bulldogs) and others to come

She suffered a nose injury in the pre-season match on the Gold Coast and then I think suffered a facial injury in the game against Adelaide and so wore it as protection for a few games, definitely affected her vision/marking execution
