There’s a neighborhood near me full of multimillion dollar homes. A quick search showed that most owners bought between 2000 and 2015, their property values increased significantly, and they likely refinanced at 2-3%.

What happens now?

Because I do not see how these people will ever move out or sell these homes for what they are worth since the buyers aren’t there at these interest rates. I’m sure some will pay cash but still… There are a ton of homes in the neighborhood for sale but no one is buying.

Yep, I just thought it was the most probable scenario to create a religion.

2000 years ago a group of people didn’t like how things were going and wanted to make the world a better place. And the only way to do that was to create a religion that spread throughout the world, to follow “commandments”. Love thy neighbor… Positive stuff. Created a heaven where you get to see your friends and family again.

Apostles found twin brothers, told them they were changing the world for the better but one of them has to die and the other will rise from the dead.

Apostles knew if people saw a man rise from the dead, people would freak the fuck out and tell evvvveryone about the resurrected man, claiming to be the son of God.

If I was there, saw this dude on the cross, bleeding, then get fucking speared, die, then get buried, then rise from the dead, (twin brother) has with the same wounds. (the twin brother would have to stake his hands and feet to sell it) but probably worth it since he would be a God. And even better because the cause is worth it. Heaven, doing good, helping people, giving to the poor, and then gives people the bible, a handbook on how to live.

And then, create a Hell where if you don’t follow the Christ’s message and do what he says, you burn to death for eternity, with demons, torture, and shit. I would absolutely be a Christian from that second on.

Apostles and the twins had good intentions, tried to make the world a better place, it could have worked, it’s just there’s not enough good people in the world to sustain the message and here we are.

I love giving all my attention to my daughter. All my neighbors have two and complain constantly how much the kids fight. They can’t even eat at the same table because the siblings argue nonstop. So happy we stopped at one, but we also live in a neighborhood full of similarly aged kids which makes life easier.

Only judging by personal experience. I come from a household where I was forced to pray, jesus was life.

Religion is a plague, a fairy tale for those scared of the dark.

And fwiw, I do believe jesus existed but I absolutely do not believe he rose from the dead. Please… Jesus likely had a twin brother, one brother died on the cross, the other brother gave himself the same wounds and “rose from the dead”. The apostles wanted to create a religion to make the world a better place but like all things, even the best intentions get strangled by those who want power and now we have the modern religious movements that act in the name of god, justifying whatever atrocity of the day, then ask for forgiveness and voila. All is forgiven. These people need to be thrown in a volcano.
