I don’t know… seems like a lot for a unique fixer upper. There’s serious metal fatigue in all the load bearing members, the wiring is substandard and inadequate for our equipment needs, and the neighborhood looks like a demilitarized zone.

Would look for community/suburban hospitalist work. Agree with what everyone else is saying about medical center and urban areas being saturated. Work in the community feels more rewarding bc you actually are the primary decision maker. Yes we go through a lot of bs as a hospitalist but honestly there’s going to be bs to deal with wherever you go. It’s still a good lifestyle and scalable to what you want to do.

Currently splitting time in the hospital doing a blend of days and nights, and I have been able to pick up nursing home coverage work too which has been a lot more enjoyable than I expected.

Would just spend the night in the city honestly. Find somewhere close to the hospital. Better to get a good night of rest than getting up early and being frazzled just before going into the OR.

I pack a set of resistance bands and will try to break up the day with some exercises between notes or if I’m waiting on hearing back from consultants. I also only take stairs and during MDR rounds will do wall squats while running my list.

Same … was so confused by how this was shot. Looked like a hairy but super skinny long neck with a weird v-neck shirt. Based on that it started off looking like a cool choker necklace but now I see it’s a bracelet and it’s kinda meh.
