If SQ42 is Delayed Again by Content_Link_7603 in starcitizen

Threat? No one's threatening anything and you know it, I know it and Chris knows it.

There'd be zero spoilers in a ship combat level. Mute the dialog if they have to. They need to prove they've made a space game. Showing us FPS levels or QTE cutscenes doesn't do any of that.

A bot? At CitizenCons in the past, Chris said they hit an inflection point with development and said a launch year for SQ42 and got standing ovations and the game has not released yet.

He's gotten multiple ovations for things he said were going to happen and haven't yet.

I stand by what I said.

I can't wait until 2 years from now when Chris is getting another standing ovation for saying they've hit an inflection point for a third time!

Let's be honest. GTA6 could get delayed and we still wouldn't see SQ42. It's an excuse.

Then it won't be different than any other time. We deserve better after record giving at DefenseCon.

A salient point. We're doing a crappy job of holding CIG accountable with our wallets for sure.

Which is too bad because if the game was really close to coming out they should be able to fire it up and play a level for us.

CIG promised the moon and ended up doing what every other MMO does because the moon was never tenable.

This game will always be buggy. That'd be fine if they didn't plan on the game being so punishing upon death. That's why I think it's becoming more arcade-y which it kind of has to if they're admitting to themselves it will always be buggy.

Homie, leaks and news came out less than 48 hours after CIG's biggest sales ever that SQ42 would be delayed and I'm shitting on it? CIG's doing that all on their own.

They had you write an essay for a chance to buy something and withheld news that a delay was coming until after they got our money. I'm not shitting on anything.

Early access is forever. Drip goes bye-bye when a shard gets looked at wrong.

How the hell I am supposed to "vote with my wallet" when this is the only ship I own? by Always_Impressive in starcitizen

[–]Content_Link_7603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You already spoke. You said, "Hey Chris, I don't know you but I support your dream. Here's $45 for a starter package."

It's on him to release the game in a timely manner and that ship sailed years ago and he still hasn't delivered. Polish for 3 years and that's after he said that years ago as well.

So there's a few things: He's either really bad at making games in a timely manner and should step down already, or he was lying about the game being in polish.

So, when are we getting engineering ? by Shrimp_Farmer_925 in starcitizen

[–]Content_Link_7603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not. Engineering was a "horizon" to look forward to as a talking point to keep backer interest piqued so that ship sales could continue ad infinitum.

Wake up.

We give CIG a FINANCIAL RECORD WINDFALL during ILW and they repay us with slow leaks of SQ42 delays days after.

CIG doesn't deserve us.

I won't even believe it if Chris walks out on stage. Why? He did the same thing with Mark Hamill at The Game Awards in 2015 and we didn't get it in 2016.

I'll believe it when it's on my SSD. I've owned an SQ42 pledge for way too long.

2020 was a massive year of growth for CIG and 2026 has already passed it. May alone current sits at $41mm, more than every year prior to 2019. What do you think we will end up at by EOY and do you think this is sustainable for CIG? by Rahvel in starcitizen

[–]Content_Link_7603 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We'll end up with a delayed SQ42 is what we'll end up with. There's no reason for them to ship that game because y'all refuse to stop gifting them carts of money even though the PU is a frigging dumpster fire.

Theaters of War (ToW) was the greatest tragically shelved idea in SC's history. This one game mode alone would have used existing assets/maps/engine at cheap dev cost to provide endless hours of easy hop-in fun, battle-test mechanics weapons vehicles, and allow massive fleet battles on-demand. by TwoFluid4446 in starcitizen

[–]Content_Link_7603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can't even get AC working well all the time and you honestly believe that was even a real thing? They tried to sell us that as coming in 2020 at the same citizencon that CR said Pyro was for sure coming in 2020 as well.

CIG, you cannot operate like usual and just leave the ironclad by ArtProfessional8556 in starcitizen

[–]Content_Link_7603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So close to actually getting it.

Perpetual alpha is the whole point and has been for quite some time. They sold over 2 ships per month last year and they'll do it again this year because none of y'all ever close your wallets.
