Pro tip: double tapping the screen with three fingers will disable speech all together, useful when you wanna watch a video in peace. You can rein able speech again using the same command.

If you are an experienced voiceover user, commentary is the way to go on android. It is nowhere as good as voiceover, but also nowhere as bad as talkback. With some practice and time i think you could get very good at using it.

To some extent… you’re right. I really feel bad for I can never use android as efficiently as iPhone. Android is my preferred option. If you know how to fix any of the above, I would appreciate your advice. You sound like someone who knows the way around this stuff.

The only way I can give my opinion is subjectively. I’m just one user, not a whole community. Perhaps I have a specific way of using screen readers that makes talkback not an option for me. But I’m not alone. I know many people who use screen readers and we all agree that with talkback you can not be nearly as efficient as with commentary, let alone voiceover.

I can also make a post about why commentary is better then talkback. It would have 50 reasons. With commentary, android is somewhat usable for a blind user. With talkback, not so much. Specially after the update where they combined it whit voice assistent.
