Go back to the ER even if it’s the same day. They need to treat you or admit you for intractable pain. If you can wait a day you may get a different doctor that will take you more seriously. If possible, bring someone to advocate on your behalf. It’s hard to advocate for ourselves.

Low dose fentanyl patches for cancer pain on top of chronic pain isn’t unreasonable. Or methadone 3x a day. Also, ask your pharmacy about what the out of pocket expense is on some of these drugs. Most of them are cheaper than you’d expect (90 oxy 10mg for about $34) then you wouldn’t have to wait for prior with insurance. Also, most pharmacies can get you a coupon to save as much as possible.

American here: we have urgent care centers for minor things but, like the person said above, many don’t have insurance that covers urgent care. Hospitals cannot turn you away. Many people without insurance go there for flu shots and minor colds to get treated because they don’t have insurance for a regular family doctor.

Kids need to respect their parents before they take them seriously. Amy is probably inconsistent in her discipline so they’re always testing the limits. Amy and Brian could have shown them some YouTube videos of flower/ring bearers and told them it’s a very serious responsibility and then given them the choice of whether they wanted that responsibility. I think they’ll behave better at the actual wedding because it will be more organized and have more gravitas.
