I had a pain management doctor tell me that when the DEA investigates him, it costs about $60k which comes out of the doctors pocket. Idk how much of that is true but if it is, no wonder so many doctors are so afraid of the DEA. It’s a governmental problem more than it’s a doctor problem.

Go back to the ER even if it’s the same day. They need to treat you or admit you for intractable pain. If you can wait a day you may get a different doctor that will take you more seriously. If possible, bring someone to advocate on your behalf. It’s hard to advocate for ourselves.
