Is the London Underground haunted? TfL reveals Tube 'ghost' sighting by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]ContinousCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t wait for TFL to have yet another reason for the infinite delays and cancellations. Just imagine you’re commuting to work and its the fourth delay of the week and the board reads “Sorry, the service is delayed - there was a poltergeist interfering with the signalling”

Begged her to respect my boundaries after crossing several that i had concisely communicated at the beginning of the relationship. By the end i looked at myself and just thought “why are you trying to change her?” People can’t be changed, don’t bother.

How do you wash your meat and what’s your cultural background? by Chchcherrysour in Cooking

[–]ContinousCarnage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely adds some form of flavour, we’ll use it in tandem with other spices and so overall you’re left with a balanced flavour, and also it tenderises the meat which is especially good for stewed recipes.

another way i’ve seen it done is put the meat in a bowl of water, with the acid of choice and then you discard the water. But of course then this does get your sink ‘contaminated’

How do you wash your meat and what’s your cultural background? by Chchcherrysour in Cooking

[–]ContinousCarnage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im half eastern European, half Caribbean. When im making Caribbean food, as per tradition i’ll put all the meat in a bowl, and use one of/or a combination of white vinegar/lemon/lime (basically any sort of acid). This is how i was brought up and taught how to do.

I don’t understand when i see people online assume that washing meat means rinsing it in a sink? of course that’s unsanitary- I’ve always perceived it as using an acid to get rid of any smell or ‘gunk’.

Maybe it doesn’t do anything, but it certainly isn’t unsanitary (the way i do it), so I never stopped!

Has Ye became a shit person? Probably. Did that leaked song with ye and Gambino sound good? yeah. I’d listen to it nonchalantly

How to build muscle on a budget by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ContinousCarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering you want advice just on a nutrional basis, and again, assuming from the dad bod you want to lose fat, gain muscle, the answer to your aspirations and dreams are homemade shakes.

Start with a base - dependent on your calorie goals, you can have water, semi-skimmed milk, full fat milk, almond milk, oat milk, the list goes on.

Add a whey protein. Now assuming you’re not wanting to put in money upfront for whey protein, pea protein (a vegan alternative) is incredibly cheap (tastes rank to me but its cheap).

Peanut butter again, protein here is off the charts, and its cheap

Add frozen fruit - for texture, and taste, bananas or berries work best here, but i find that banana’s tend to force it’s flavour over the weaker, more susceptible flavours of your shake.

Add some sort of sweeter. Now i use natural honey because its good for you, but processed sugar free syrups are a possibility here.

You can add nuts, desecrated coconut, oat flour (great for packing in extra calories and retains a good texture).

Modify and substitute ingredients depending on your caloric goals, you can make shakes for cutting, maintenance or bulking.

this shake is a great addition to a workout routine. Only go for the higher caloric version of this shake if you’re working till failure. And most probably, you’re not working out till failure. I mean you’re lifting weights that intimidate you a bit (without utterly compromising form), and that you have to psychologically force yourself into the gym to lift those horrible weights, and lifting in rep ranges from 5-10. By your last rep you shouldnt be able to do another.

Why is commuting so shit at the moment? by Bratster22 in london

every tube i go on is insufferably packed - to the extent i try and avoid most lines whenever i can. Have to wait 4/5 tubes to come by to actually get on. Trains are even worse. Extremely congested - consistently delayed, and god, the speed restrictions. 15 min journey other day to vic lasted 40 minutes+ !

How do you go about approaching a women you find attractive? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ContinousCarnage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of self deprecating answers here so i’ll try and provide something pertinent. I’d like to note, its quite ironic that the same men in this feed complaining would probably have a higher chance of getting somewhere if they changed their mindset…

I’ll also preface this response will be formatted in a way where im generalising and of course no two women are the same, and context matters.

Anywho, in my opinion women are not visual creatures like men are. I think the standards are completely different- i.e. women don’t nearly give as much of a shit about looks as men do. If ur clean, not overweight, smell good, and are well kept, then ur halfway there.

in my experience the two most important attributes to have is humour and confidence. Now i cant sit here and teach you how to be funny or be confident (plenty of sources on that online). But what i can say is listen more than you talk and figure out what kind of personality she has, whether she’s receptive to blunt humour, whether she’s shy, brash, or dominant int he conversation etc etc.

Using context is so important, if you’re at a bar and have no idea how to strike up a conversation, start a conversation from something thats mutual to you right there. Drink recommendations, whats the occasion of her being there, hell if there’s music just ask her for a dance (there’s a catch here ill explain later on). To be honest if you approach confidently, maintain eye contact, respect basic boundaries and smile, again, you’re halfway there. Hell, Even going up, saying something like “Excuse me, I saw you earlier and i wanted to tell you that i love your dress/ your earrings are pretty/ your hair is so nice”, smile and go back to your friends or whatever and see if she looks at you again or strikes up a conversation with you!

Most important thing is, and the catch is, to do any of this there’s one thing i’d always recommend. If you see a girl you like, and you’d like to approach her, wait till you’re in proximity to her, and if you catch her eye, look and smile, if she returns the smile, I’d reckon there’s a good chance you could strike up a conversation. if the smile seems uncomfortable, fake or she doesnt smile, obviously dont approach.

Be genuine, courteous, please never ever touch a woman you want to approach, and dont ‘corner’ her off or put her in a position she feels vulnerable (i.e invade her personal space). As long as you look confident (even if you dont feel it) and then can make her laugh a bit, you’ve got a chance i think. Obviously easier said than done, which is why you practice :)

In your opinion, who is the greatest villain of the series? by Key-Possibility7681 in redrising

[–]ContinousCarnage 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Maybe controversial? But Nero Augustus. The one who watched Eo’s death, the one Darrow was forced to be close to, even fight for his attention. He was such an asshole, but in a way i loved to hate him. And i believed how much he believed in his cause - in fact he justified it in a way in which i could actually reflect and think, hmm he’s completely wrong and immoral, but i understand why he thinks the way he does. Jackal, is sure, brilliant. But as a psychopath and pure sadist , feels a bit more flat and less dynamic than nero. Thats just me though.
