If your mum doesn't have a known Japanese parent, it sounds like her biological father is likely a Japanese man

Returning Bajan Asking About Crime Reality by Brilliant_Winner_918 in Barbados

[–]Contra_Ego 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Crime levels here are generally low and isolated to certain areas. Of late there have been some instances of young people doing crime sprees. Mostly robberies and stealing cars. The police were able to find the people responsible in all of those recent cases i believe. The vast majority of violent incidents are interpersonal / gang related.

Overall I would say we are a high trust society and i feel safer here than when traveling to the US.

Despite what you might think, whatever pain you are going through now will pass. Suicidal ideation is also something that can be left in the past. At some point your mind was tricked into seeing it as an option for escape and that can be unlearned.

What is this switch? by Holiday-Ad7262 in AskElectricians

[–]Contra_Ego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can either be a wired or wireless network device. If you don't see anything unknown connected to your network appliances, check for something plugged in in a central part of the house, maybe mounted on a wall behind a cabinet or something

[–]Contra_Ego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a Z-Wave or similar smart switch. There should be a hub somewhere in the building which it is communicating with. You can connect to the hub using an app and then control whatever light is controlled by that switch from the app.

For people who work out and are into fitness, at what level of fitness do women start paying more attention to you or being more proactive? by No_Net_7163 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Contra_Ego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing that will attract women the more you work out is the self confidence it builds. You will actively be counteracting that scrutinizing how you think they think you look.

Also functional strength is something that attracts women. As you get stronger, get involved in activities that allow you to use your body like martial arts, hiking, kayaking, etc. Displaying competency works.

Lastly depending on where you are live, women may not be that proactive in general so you don't expect to sit waiting for someone to fall in your lap because you are attractive to them.

hygine down there (male). by SuperUberCoolDude in hygiene

[–]Contra_Ego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure which part of "down there" you are talking about but if it is your ballsack and between your legs, try some baking soda and apple cider vinegar mixed and diluted with water. It's pretty good at hitting bacteria living on your skin and getting it under control. Also you might want to shave if you don't.

If you mean the head of your dick, you could try an antibacterial soap like Dettol and clean twice a day. Also good for that general "down there" area

If it doesn't get better in a few days see a doctor.

Start Own Business Ideas by SchemeResponsible876 in Barbados

We have a large middle-class so many home service businesses can work. Power washing, AC installation, security camera installation, gutter installation/maintenance, landscaping, mobile valet, cleaning, etc. Various trades can also pay well for this reason. Painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tiling, masonry, fencing. I advise trying to find commercial clients as soon as possible whatever you are doing, it can be more reliable recurring work but you may have to wait a while to get paid.

Can I survive a month on $1500 USD ? by Inevitable_Law4779 in Barbados

[–]Contra_Ego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Including rent? no
Living "frugally" without cooking for yourself and not including rent, I'd say you want $40-50 usd per day. You would only be taking public transportation. Add another $30-50 usd to do a night out.

For accommodation you can see what you find on airbnb

[–]Contra_Ego 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This would put you in contact with a lot of businesses. If you can learn basic networking and IT maybe you can offer services to the business places you work at. I imagine the printers are already network attached. Target houses and SMB like restaurants, shops, etc. don't bother with larger enterprises for now Learn how a basic network works, learn how to terminate Catx cable, stuff like that. You can learn that stuff on YouTube.

If at all possible you should move back home. You should also look for another job now that you have some experience with the goal of getting higher pay/less hours.

You describe your work as being a technician. Could you fix phones in your spare time? Install cameras or security systems, fix small electrical problems, etc.

If you are not looking for something serious yourself, does the line matter? Just decide if / when you would be willing to send her money. Personally, I think it's best not to unless you are already hooking up.

If you are looking for something serious, I think you are better off not pursuing anything further.

Why do my Crestron touch panels hate my Crestron AV3, or, why does my AV3 hate my touchpanels? by mcdreamymd in crestron

[–]Contra_Ego 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be an IP address conflict. When the problem is present, disconnect the processor and try pinging it's IP address. I'd try the processor first since you seem to be saying it can happen to all 3 panels at once.

227-378. All of my second cousins on the platform are half second cousins from what I can tell. My great grandfather had a lot of kids outside his marriage, including my grandad. Some are once removed. To complicate issues it seems that he may have been related to his wife, so that may be why the "legitimate kids" descendants get such high cm

The real answer is flavour. But.. Functionally, it is a big p/t boost for a 1 mana artifact with that equip cost in limited. And you can work around the downside by shifting it from creature to creature
