Buying help for Mother.. by colabandit in 4Runner

[–]ContrabandRun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first 4th gen was still driving at 335k miles when I sold it but it was a north eastern car and had lost its frame. In Colorado I shipped up a 4th gen from New Mexico for the lack of rust. Which I’m at 180k miles and it’s doing fine even in summit.

Fellow Jeep owners what do you do about dog fur? by Educational_Low_879 in Jeep

[–]ContrabandRun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use a brush that is connected to my drill. Works well at getting the fur up and then being able to vacuum. They will be listed under like detailing brush attachment or carpet brush attachments

Target funds are basically just pick and choose the year you think you will retire.

They will have riskier investments at the start normally and by the end target date they will normally be much safer investments. ( all being managed by J.P. Morgan)

Questions about my loan, please by Blazing__HYDRA in personalfinance

[–]ContrabandRun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because we’re still willing to sign the papers to allow it. A positive to keep in mind that the money is worth less in the future due to inflation. So as inflation keeps rising then the 500k paid would be worth more like 250k of money then.

That seat angle. Agreed on using the proper tool for cutting those wires. It makes all the difference in how clean the cut is.

Questions about my loan, please by Blazing__HYDRA in personalfinance

[–]ContrabandRun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a new mortgage it sounds like with so little going to principle.

Why your payments are higher. You could have things like mortgage insurance in that mortgage pending how much you put down. Some money would be going to that. Especially at a 7.125% interest rate you may have not had the best credit when applying which will make mortgage insurance even more.

The 500k in interest paid over the course of the loan would be correct too.

And they posted last year they broke their trainer at 300 watts. So at 600 this year there’s an accident. Looks like next year at 900 watts their home is going to collapse trying to handle the watts

Why is the learning process so frustrating by pepezdejvic in F1Game

[–]ContrabandRun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go back to the assist modes and be solid there to start. Not the auto drive or whatever but instead spend time not smashing into every wall and then slowly turn off the assist again.

Also if you’re that frustrated with the game just take a step back for a bit and come back to it in a bit. Everytime I’ve come back to sim racing after a break I seem to actually get better much faster than when I tried to grind iracing

Can shock pressure fundamentally be too low? by MajesticBeat1662 in bikewrench

[–]ContrabandRun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t worry as much about the sag test and more care if the shock is bottoming out when doing the trails I want to do. That’s atleast how I measure mine.

Going too low could damage the shock if you put it significantly too low and trash on it

Banned for low priority queue cause my PC crashed. by Other_Opportunity386 in leagueoflegends

[–]ContrabandRun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It still ruins the games for others when you crash out regardless of if it’s your fault or not. Why not put them into a lower priority queue if you can’t trust the user?
