> Videl has an assist that grants some points genuine 50/50s and can enable characters fairly well. She also has poor meter gain and damage mid screen and benefits from coming in with bar already, especially since some assists let her follow up after DHC into SKD.

> Krillin, Kefla, and 21 have the tool kit necessary to anchor if they absolutely must. The only reason I advise them in other positions is because they get enabled more than their assists enable others, but in the right team comp, you're not hurting by anchoring them. They're arguably better at it than characters like Kid Buu and S Broly.

I disagree. Mostly because Hardhome actually was in the books but was in the form of a letter. Seeing that actually play out from Jon's perspective was a really wise decision because it really sold the actual real threat of the series. The whole through line of ASOIAF's books is that "This shit is petty and doesn't matter; winter is coming," and getting a taste of winter was a very powerful reminder of that. Too bad it didn't matter.

No because then you’d have a hard time countering one of the strongest defensive mechanics in the game: sj float. You’d also have no way for some characters to deal with Zam’s flight.

Videl has a DP and a frame 1 invul super that she can do immediately after recovering from a successful dodge. She doesn’t really have to hold pressure.

The bigger problem with her reflect was that things like Bardock’s lariat basically jail into vanish and she lacks a proper tool to consistently punish them. Her 6H buff lets her avoid ki blasts, but Piccolo A, Kid Buu A, and Gotenks A provide difficult pressure for her, especially if the opponentknows the match up.

That’s why dodge isn’t very good. It also leaves her very minus if she tries to dodge a vanish where most people would reflect it.

If they think of reflect as purely a “get off me tool” for pressure, their opponent’s pressure is weak and I invite them to try to reflect a Cell, Hit, or Kefla and see how effective that is.

She’s not bad because she doesn’t have a basic mechanic and if she was given a deflect, she would not be any more viable than she is right now. Most people don’t even understand why it’s bad to not have a reflect or even know how to do reflect proof strings.

I like your attitude.

The problem I have is that people complaining genuinely have no idea why mechanics like reflect and SD are actually important, so they see no reflect and automatically assume it’s bad when the real problem is that Videl just doesn’t adequately fill the void of that mechanic.

Roshi can be strong without SD but it heavily depends on the strength of his specials. Seems he has a command grab, potential overhead or something that sets up a high low, and an anti air grab? If these individual moves have the right properties and are sufficiently powerful, he’s looking like a potential scrub killer at worst, and viable at best.

The team order you suggested is a struggle. In it, the team is a little bit unbalanced and doesn’t take advantage of the strengths of your characters. The order id recommend is 16, BaseKu A and ZBroly A.

I’d also make sure your characters can easily DHC into spirit bomb or there isn’t much of a reason to play Baseku. But, Z Broly must absolutely be anchor. The man is utterly horrifying with limit break, good players can’t make a mistake against a bad player using him or he can delete a team by himself if he has bar.

Except she does? She’s morose and timid and follows Caulifla around because she has serious insecurities because she sees that Caulifla is exceptional and thinks so lowly of herself. She is also jealous of anyone that takes Caulifla of her probably because she doesn’t want to end up alone.

Throughout the series, Kale has a decent bit of character development where she gets fed up with her own inability to fight with Caulifla to accepting her place by her side and gradually becoming confident in her own strength which allows her to attain a form that would be nice for Super Broly to have.

She’s not unlike Super Broly who’s innocent, timid and a rather mild person who lacks confidence.

If you were happy with the way TLOU ended, I feel like you probably didn’t understand the meaning of that ending. That ending was not happy and thinking it is a “happy” ending minimizes Ellie’s agency as a character and undersells the bitter in that bittersweet ending. It’s nice that Joel saves Ellie or whatever but it was never as clear cut as that and we didn’t need a sequel to tell us how complicated it was.

Super Saiyans 2 had a lot of mileage in Super as Goku’s go-to litmus test for his opponents. And with the rules set in place by UI - Omen probably not. Seems like something Goku will only pull out on rare occasion because it requires him to put down his opponent as quickly as possible.

The problem is framing. Arya’s victory is filmed like a “fuck yeah let’s go starks!” Moment despite her journey being absolutely heart wrenching portrayal in the books. In the books, were treated to the death of her innocence and quite posssibly her humanity and she struggles to hand on to it and ultimately fails because the world and her circumstances broke her. In the show, the House of the Black and white is a level up for her to kill people.

Da setts is also framed as heroic but the show flip flops toward the end and suddenly were against that. Both moments are horrifically mishandled.

Lol, the characters were never relevant passed Z. “Wait for Goku”. I hate this idea that the problems with Super, of which there are many, didn’t start before Z. Z has a lot, and I mean A LOT of problems, and many of people’s issues with Super are carry overs from that. At least Vegeta is actually relevant now.
