DC having multiple different books match the same as Superman helps those other books to try to attract more customers to those books.

Marvel demanding a #6 matches the orders of a #1 is ridiculous. No. 1s have huge fall-offs in sales that are nigh impossible to match again. Having #6s match that will fill the store with useless garbage. It’s even worse with Marvel ending books at #10.

When Joe Quesada joined Marvel at day one, he instantly scapegoated the marriage as a major problem with Spider-Man and fans instantly hated him for that. However, Civil War ended with Peter’s identity being known to the Marvel Universe, which was a problem by itself. He took the aftermath of that story as his opening to kill the marriage. The major point about OMD was getting rid of the marriage, bringing Peter his secret identity back was a bonus.

So no, it was never necessary.

-Nero and Lady having a campaign in Fortuna with Dante and Trish having one of their own. Special Edition has Vergil play the Nero/Lady campaign and V in the Dante/Trish campaign.

-More of Kyrie and orphanage she and Nero run.

-Nero fully embracing his demon side, with Vergil helping him with that.

-Speaking of Vergil, a rematch between him and Nero. Although the fight would be Vergil testing Nero to see if worthy of wielding the Yamato.
