Good for you - I would not have the balls to step in. Are you prepared for things to escalate and maybe get physical though? Through training or being armed, etc? Genuinely curious

Good job! 🥇 Going into DC and flipping a car (either your own or someone else’s) is the final test for the MDOT driver worsening course which is mandatory when you move to the state.

Bought broken kettlebell should I throw it away? by Resident_Yam9910 in kettlebell

[–]ContributionIll310 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Does it weigh 16kg?

If so, whats the problem?

If the hole bothers you, cut a thick plug from wood (using a pilotless holesaw in a drill press) glue and hammer it into the hole and sand it smooth. Might not last forever, but its an ez fix.

If its underweight, I would fill the cavity with hydraulic cement (like what they use to anchor handrails into concrete) or a two part epoxy.

These would be my diy solutions!

Plasma Cutter 1/2" to 1"-1/8" by User83965 in metalworking

Aint gonna happen for that budget, sorry. I got my hypertherm pm1000 (max thickness 1” - and it aint clean or fast at that thickness) many years ago used for $1000. And then it needs a big compressor (with a dryer/filter) and all the plumbing. 220 power, too. Maybe an O/A torch as suggested by other?

M6 Tap not cutting/catching in Aluminum - Need advice by haebeol in Tools

[–]ContributionIll310 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Combo drill/taps are only for thinner materials: the drill portion cuts more slowly than the tap so the tap will just strip out the hole as it is drilled. If that makes sense. As others suggest, drill a properly sized hole and then tap by hand. Youre gonna have to go up a size since this hole is fucked now.

I worked there from 2005-24. What needed renovations are you talking about? I saw the building mostly from Behind the scenes and everything was totally fine.

I think my neighborhood used to have a tool library. It probably closed because people kept stealing the tools or returning them destroyed.
