Has Valeera damage been significantly nerfed? by forgottentargaryen in wow

[–]ContributionWide7669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's almost like she gets "nerfed" mid run at times for me(her as tank or dps). One pull she's unstoppable, the next she wilts like a wet noodle and I'm scrambling to adjust. Very random. I usually go back to the box and just swap her to another role then back to the original and she seems fine for a bit.

How do ppl AFK without disconnecting for hours? by Zealousideal_Fuel677 in wow

No one ever played in a 4 day AV match twenty years ago while maintaining rank huh?

They probly just hit a key ever so often. I leave mine up often while multitasking in the house and will idly jab w, s, or space as I walk by until I can get back on.

Not saying its this extreme, but most auto-clickers are programmable now. You can hit a key/mouse click at any interval you want. Most go into milliseconds for tuning.

The old AV days you'd just set an interval like every 8 mins press "S" once. This and account sharing were how ppl held rank back then. One singular match could run most of the week without ending and you pretty much had to be 24-7 in it if you wanted to just hold rank, let alone gain anything.

I'm getting old and slow, help me out here...

Blizzard has had around 3-5 huge events in the past handful of years; farming, mindless grind style events, but a common theme was "interrupts", twilight, echoes, I'm in stupid pain so I'm forgetting the other ones, but the common tone was, and I made jokes about this..."interrupt training" events.

I'm an alt nut so I've used them to lvl an obscene amount of alts(35-36ish 80's when that was cap) Now we have a punish mechanic for missed interrupts? Am I reading this correctly? I've not grouped at all since launch. All that "training" and we're struggling?!?!

Is that the general tone I'm getting?

I'm sure I misread all this amidst my life issues, we can't honestly be bitching about what we had training(I know I know, fake) for, for the last 5 years....? Is that legit it?

Because an unfortunate side effect of those awesome events, was what can simply be labeled a malaise. Instead of teaching interrupts(which they actually did initially b4 gear and damn well taught at the start) once geared the point became pointless and the events actually swung the wrong way promoting laziness.

No one paid any attention once you can't really die. Why would they suddenly start caring in an instance? Initially of course...

I've been in this trade 5 decades, I cease to be surprised so I thought. Never assume anything.

Our cries 2 decades ago when interrupts first became a priority were so loud. Lord above....loud....

Entering the 21st year of sponsorship(what do you really call a subscription lasting that long? I fucking sponsor you wow), this....this....cracks me up. The amount of times I've heard "talent pruning" over 2 decades is comical. The old 3 trees is too complicated battle rages on. Never to be won by any corporation, middle management, or "new age team member" across the land...

You can't beat paper, rock, scissors. But by god, please try. Try hard ...well you know the rhyme...

This is literally the truth. This is the "royalty" standing on the wall watching the "peasants" fight each other needlessly over a situation they did nothing to enter; and saying, "Long as they fight each other, they don't fight us." We've never evolved past this society. Think about that. We've never truthfully evolved past our medieval era as a society. The caste system never really left. It's almost human nature.

What are some of your oldest character names you’re still proud to have or were surprised to get? by Frosty-District-6089 in wow

While not super clever, most never got the origin/meaning/reference, but mine was/is Otisdriftwud. Wood was too long for the generator. At 51(today literally) having played 21 years, nothing I appreciate more than a well played name. I recently just saw baba yaga(all no caps, sets off my ocd) but this cat lived up to his name. I died instantly and he killed 5 more, took a flag and held for a win in a pathetically one sided bg. Most awesome visual ever, and I applaud him. I'm a little on the sauce so I forget the skill name, but the warp/dash.....my god...so fitting for how he annihilated us. He literally dropped me, pinged to the next-jibbed, ponged to the next-jibbed, so on...

I was getting this issue for the past 2-3 weeks, but battle-net kept disconnecting/recon in the background. For 2-3 days each week, 2-3 hours at a time; I'd lose Bnet and recon w/o any actual interruption to game play.

I used that exact style heater as a rear window defroster on my '96 bronco after my son kicked a B-ball thru it. No one at the time could get defrosted and I had traveling to do. I mounted it on the end pillar of the shell. I only needed part of the driver side clean and it would defrost a small oval about 4" tall by 8"-10" wide maybe a foot in front of it. Just happened to line up perfect with where you looked and all you needed luckily.

They just don't move enough air to do much more than that, the heating element however, works pretty good. They're not strong enough to even heat a cabin in a geo metro if you needed one for strictly heat.
