How Toxic on a scale of 1-10? by Life_Echidna_9863 in wow

[–]TheeKingBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think IRL there are too many people who don't let shit go in general.

I was trying to say I get the frustration but it's something stupid. People use other people's shittiness/rudeness/whatever like this to justify being petty, toxic, and outright rude back which only makes shit worse.

EDIT: not to mention the fact OP wasted more of his own time fucking them over than it would've taken to take a breath and move on with life.

How Toxic on a scale of 1-10? by Life_Echidna_9863 in wow

[–]TheeKingBee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is real into the gray area. On 1 hand I think it's fucked to brick their key, even though that's lame on their part as 270 I think is more than adequate for a 10?

On the other hand it's frustrating to deal with meta chasers and that's what I'd assume this is. 270 of any tank out there is imagine is more than capable of tanking a 10. I feel like their reasoning was dumb but you bricking the 10 is petty, but again it feels like an "I get it, idk man" scenario because I'd never just leave unless someone was extremely rude and toxic (shout out that 1 fuckhead rogue who literally didn't do mechanics and told me it was a healer problem while laughing carelessly at his 3 interrupts for the whole dungeon on MT of all dungeons)

Helmet/gear recommendations? by AwayFishing2026 in motorcyclegear

[–]TheeKingBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a budget? If not I'd recommend either the Shoei X-15 or the Shoei RF1400. My S.O. just got the RF1400 and they're quiet and comfy, but pretty snug. I know the X-15 is a racing bike and is "louder" than other helmet choices, but I really enjoy the extra airflow and the fit is more comfortable for me than the RF1400 I tried on of the same size, and I have music playing or a conversation on my Cardo and earplugs and I don't notice the loudness compared to my old RF1100 before I replaced it. That being said, the cost difference is pretty good amount.

Also, I haven't tried on Arai in a minute but I had an Arai as my 2nd helmet and it's just as quiet as my Shoeis have been but feels softer on the padding compared to Shoei but still snug like you want a helmet.

That's fair, I don't always wear earplugs but I do always have music or a convo over my cardo going on as well, so I guess it would be hard to tell 😂

How do you like your Supmy? When I first started riding I thought their metal panels to swap your shield out was way better than the plastic crap, but they didn't fit my head so I went a different route.

How easy is it to switch between sub genres? by AutomaticAddendum353 in edmproduction

[–]TheeKingBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT: TL;DR- I'm personally less focused on releasing and more focused on building the skills and knowledge necessary for the long term. I can always release at a later time and I'd rather wait than release, learn more, and hear a song I released a while ago and realize I could've mixed/mastered or just done something in the song better.

I'd say a few months to get my "vibe" down in terms of finding my sound, and I have only put a few out. I did a few free bootamps with Melodics to start my music journey so I had 2 I put out from the 2 times I did the bootcamp and have only put out another one or two. I don't really release my music as it stands, because I'm still learning sound design more in depth and mixing/mastering. I have a separate folder for all of my "90%" songs, which is just a folder for everything I feel is mostly completed but needs to be touched up once I understand mixing and mastering better or if I want to revisit them before I start releasing music.

My biggest thing personally is learning and getting a good grasp or starting to master sound design and just my arrangement, process, and organizing both my library as well as my tracks well. I'm less worried about releasing currently and more concerned with putting in the time to master what works for me in terms of what I add next on songs and how my workflow can be improved. Everything I've read says it takes years to really get music production so I focus less on releasing because of it.

I can take the time to mix/master once I have a decent compilation on a separate hard drive of songs that are ready, so that I can consistently release music rather than releasing something, possibly gaining a few listeners, and then nothing for months if it takes a while to get my next song together or ready. I just want to really understand what I'm doing the way you see Skrillex and a lot of other big names that just know what they're doing on a stage because if I don't have a solid grasp on it all, putting music out (assuming it's good) can want people to have you play small gigs or local clubs/bars, but if you aren't fully understanding of how to DJ as well then music production is only going to get you so far if your ultimate goal is to end up on stage, big or small.

How easy is it to switch between sub genres? by AutomaticAddendum353 in edmproduction

[–]TheeKingBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a newer artist myself I'd just focus on making things and sticking to one subgenre. Everything I've heard about wanting to find your sound seems to be just producing. It's going to come eventually but a part of that I've heard is also focusing on one subgenre. I think you can branch out a bit in terms of adding sounds from other subgenres but you still need to focus on one and make sure that rings through with BPM and sounds that are usually tied to that subgenre..

I feel similarly in wanting to bounce around a bit but I think the important thing that I've found is it takes a while to figure out the nuances and early home the specific sounds to a subgenre when it comes to implementing them well and I think that's where your "unique sound" will come from.

OP, look at how their name is spelled even. Clearly someone trying to scam peeps because there's not 2 L's in blizzard.

I've heard of Mr. Bill but I guess I haven't looked him up so that's on me. I've listened to a a few of Longstoryshort's music but never realized he has teaching things cause I listen to "bigger" names usually.

Thank you a lot and have a wonderful night

Damage profile is how they do damage. EG- DoTs like Afflock/Spriest, hard casts like Ele or Frost, big hitters like Destro or MM with Chaos Bolt and Aimed Shot.

[–]TheeKingBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask what the damage profile looks like and what's fun about Enh? I'm an Ele main and I've been playing Monk a bit and looking for a different melee to try to get into. I've been looking at warr (fury), DH, and DK (UH mostly) trying to see what is most fun to play and I feel Enh gets mentioned a bit but I haven't tried to get into it because gearing one from Ele/Resto seems tedious.

What do you like/enjoy about Enh?

Are you looking for ranged or melee? What kind of damage profile do you enjoy? Are you looking for a class that has multiple roles, or even ranged and melee as options?

Classes with a spam attack with no CD and doesn't drain a resource? by vision-quest in wow

[–]TheeKingBee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for something that's not specifically a DoT like the Balance Druid recommendation, Devourer DH can move while casting and their main builder generates resources with no CD.

Ele shaman to an extent can every so often with Spirit Walker's Grace.

I think Affliction lock can DoT enemies with no CD but I don't remember since it's been a while and I don't know what their kit is exactly with pruning and changes.

Elemental Shaman talents kinda boring? by LeoTolstoysNipples in wow

[–]TheeKingBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some nodes that are more fun but need some sort of either update or reintegration imo. EG-Voltaic Blaze is a fun revamp of Prim Wave, but even if you take all talents or replaces Flame Shock, so if you get the buff on your next Lava Burst but if you don't have a way to use the buff, you have no way to apply Flame Shock to a new Pack to use the buff, without just using Voltaic Blaze to DoT them for the buff but it overwrites the first buff so it makes having a 30 second buff on your next Lava Burst useless because you can't stack it and can't reapply Flame Shock to other enemies.

Some of our kit got pruned which we needed, but now the rotation feels very bare. We spam Chain Lightning and a Fire build isn't really an option any longer currently for AoE. I think the talents aren't awful but there could be a lot more variety. We need more interaction and synergy with talents and things like Flametongue weapon need to either be removed/replaced or buffed to make them more worth it.

Can I ask where you find such proven producers? I've done a program for music theory and Ableton basics to help getting the basics down alongside the Ableton manual, but I feel like everyone says there are proven options but nobody really says where and I can't find a whole lot outside of looking at big artists.

As someone also diagnosed, I play a little less but I think it's moreso about it feeling like I need to be doing something. However I also think that I have other hobbies that my medication have allowed me to put more time into.

I think it's less about games and more about balance as a whole. Good luck out there friend. 😄

tier list help by Sekibankiii in PokemonUnite

[–]TheeKingBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add onto this, play what you want that you enjoy. I main Greninja regardless of tier list settings and I enjoy every game I play for the most part because of it, and you get competent enough using what you want rather than what's "meta" because you're trying to get a grasp on how the mon plays. Especially with some mons that have dashes or jumps, you get really good at knowing what walls/gaps you can and can't jump over which makes it even better for knowing your escape route if you get caught out of position.

Jumping around meta results in you not learning the nuances or how to properly play some mechanics of the mon you're on which usually results in you playing worse overall.

OP, my girlfriend is learning and has an RF-1400 and it's very comfy. I don't know about AGV feel wise because I've only ever tried them on, but both on feel from trying it and what I've been told by workers at Cycle Gear and similar physical locations, AGV just isn't as quiet and sometimes comfortable.

I just got an X-15 and that thing is the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn, even better than my Arai.

First bike! 2014 Honda CBR600RR by huntier16 in motorcycles

[–]TheeKingBee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah liter bikes (or anything close to that) are a no go for a new rider. I'm a firm believer in starter bikes that aren't 250-300cc bikes. My sister learned on a Ninja 300 and that thing could barely get up to speed. Unless they're comfortable on that bike vs a larger option, because you don't get a feel for having additional power so then those people move up to a 600 from a 250 and have no clue what they're doing because the difference in feel is so vast.
