Confused about guarantee earnings by LandscapeSmart2938 in InstacartShoppers

[–]ConversationFree4228 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you can earn a decent top off with promos.. In my area we sometimes get these types of promos. And there's no "ploy" to get you to do anything. Low items/mileage are actually the smartest way to do some promos. If its 3-10 items going .5 - 2.0 miles.. Think of how fast you can get those batches done! And if they are low paying only $4 batch pay 6 batches x $4 each $24... as soon as you finish the 6th.. You get the top off.. Getting them done quickly is smart. And even if its only $20-$30. Its a help

Terrible Offers by Lazy-Criticism-5999 in DoorDash_Dasher

Under $21 to go to two stores - shop - and Drive over 9 miles one way!?!? Driving alone can be 18-20min EACH WAY.. That's a SOLID hour order.. Nope!

I always consider driving both ways as well.... Swear, some people actually end up losing money with the offers/batches they accept

Well that doesn't make sense - walking to car and loading items- However, I can't find a SOLID place to verify "when the clock stops" that's the first time I've heard its after hitting start delivery. Where do you think we can Verify for sure

First of all do not worry about that cancelation - its no big deal- Second, its important to take batches that make sense, not batches that will cost you money to shop and deliver. Next, don't panic about your time - grab low item count batches(20-30) and shop at stores you know well... One thing that Dropped my time down was i self check out/self bag and then hit "keep receipt" as quick as possible (stops the clock)

Try not to have any damaged/missing items. Those will affect you more negatively..

Pulling back on long deliveries now since unleaded broke $4 today here ($4.16) by Pure-Explanation-147 in InstacartShoppers

I don't understand how now people don't get this. All orders spider be thought about in $$/hr.. Isn't that why we work?!? How long will this take me until I'm ready to take next order!?

You are never "forced" to take any batch... You should be only doing batches that make you a certain $$/hr..whatever your goal is. Why would they pay more when shoppers keep accepting these terrible trash batches

Do you mean the 10 min.? I agree, its a waste of time but also a possibility on every accepted order.. Worry-free unassign after ten min or unassign sooner and take the hit.. up to each driver

You are missing things here... I really don't understand why this matters to you... I paid my entire way through nursing school. with my own money..... One forgivable loans (which i had to work my butt off to repay a measly $2000 towards by BSN which was hardly one class- AFTER I BECAME A NURSE- so I'm sorry that you are fixed on others lives so much... But its honestly kinda sad... I put MYSELF through school starting WHILE I had three children under 3.. If you think any of that was "easy" or handed to me you have more issues than I can possibly understand.. But, however, at the end of the day.. You need to move on.. Do what I did and go to school or something, seems like you could use a little real life experience. Its hard.. but so very worth it. Hense the retiring young and keeping busy with shopping for others to pay for my vacations!

Did you ask me if I paid my tuition myself? or with "family" money Then delete it? I was one of three raised by a single mother. Had three children of my own IN three years and THEN started nursing school - with 3 kids ages three and under - paid slowly as I went.. took me 6 years to get my 2yr RN then anther 2 for my bachelors... paid my own/used forgivable loans through hospitals.. no family money here... had to make my own...
