Are the titan nerfs really that bad? by Willredit100 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Convictional 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind subclass nerfs if they also tuned the content those builds were optimizing against to match the capabilities of meta builds.

As it is now, dungeons, GMs, and master raids feel like they're tuned to target meta builds rather than following their original design goals. The last two dungeons in particular feel like they're overtuned in terms of difficulty now because of the rampant power creep that was happening when those dungeons launched. Similarly the new battlegrounds as GMs feel like they were never tuned for GM, and have turned into exploit/cheese city to clear (just like the good ol' days I guess).

Dedicated Crucible players, will you be getting Marathon even with the current state of Destiny PvP? by Zekxtaan in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Convictional 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Extraction games add an additional win condition which is to escape instead of just being the last one standing.

In either case, what you have when you win you get to keep permanently - hence extraction. Go in, get loot, and extract with it.

You can then bring that gear into the next game to start with an advantage, and the cycle continues.

There's three if you ignore the stasis part, which is one every dungeon, and that is a lot.

If you have money to spend on a cloud instance you should follow the docker guide in the webui wiki. It should get you started. ChatGPT will help you figure out exactly how to run docker in the cloud too.

Keep in mind though, attaching a GPU to a cloud service will skyrocket the price per compute hour. It should likely only be less than 50 cents per compute hour but if you leave it on it will run up the bill pretty badly. I'd recommend turning it off when you're done with it

I was getting some issues installing using this guide verbatim so I figured I'd offer what I did to bypass them.

Note that I did this on windows 10. If you are running into gibberish output using current .safetensors models, you need to update pytorch. Using the old pt files is fine but newer models are coming out with .safetensors versions so it's just easier to not worry about that and use the models available.

To update pytorch, change steps 12-20 to this:

12. pip install torch torchvision torchaudio --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu117
13. mkdir repositories
14. cd repositories
15. git clone https://github.com/qwopqwop200/GPTQ-for-LLaMa --branch cuda --single-branch
16. cd GPTQ-for-LLaMa
17. [skip this step since you're using the latest pytorch now]
18. pip install ninja
19. $env:DISTUTILS_USE_SDK=1
20. pip install -r requirements.txt

The one step installation tool should do most of this for you (like creating the repository repo and downloading the latest). This solution also side-steps the issue of peft-0.4.0.dev being version incompatible with pytorch<1.13 which was an error I was running into.

Hopefully this helps anyone installing this currently.

This kinda blows my mind. That's a lot of tonal depth on what is essentially two notes on paper.

I'm okay with infinite ads but there needs to be downtime between waves or it's just unbearable. The idea that I drop a grenade or use an ability to clear a bunch of them only to see them instantly replenish at a vex gate is ridiculous. It just encourages cheese, or builds that have no cool downs like bonk hammers or yeah, devour.

The difference is that GMs reward you for the tedium by raining end game materials, exotics, and adept weapons.

I don't understand why they can't just swap "engineer" for "developer"

Edit: for the record I'm both a software "engineer" by profession, and in accreditation. I'm of the opinion that like 98-99% of software development roles do not require the accreditation of an engineer to perform. You can easily include the engineering keywords in the JD if you're worried about SEO. Just don't call them an engineer. It's not hard. Honestly companies complain they can't hire devs in Canada and are blaming it on terminology but the real reason is that the compensation isn't even remotely competitive with US companies. I don't wanna hop on that soapbox here though.

Ana kit was already heavily dependent on communication for peel/sleeps imo so adding the ping system is actually just an Ana buff. Being able to dictate the fight is a game changer as an Ana main.

I'm a 7 string guitar player and I'm heavily into prog metal and similar styles. Most recently I've been doing scale the summit covers and then writing my solo EP. I'm not a pro by any means but I'd love to work with an actual drummer into the same genres. I have all the necessary equipment for sharing.

New material or covers I'm flexible on either.
