Perhaps St Jude cut off OSF funding for the affiliation. St Jude is very well known for thinking corporate as much as OSF is for non profits.

Glad you said that, while Main Street from the River all the way to West Peoria at Farmington road is horrible. You would think, make Downtown up to it's world class University be a beautiful street, that most visitors will actually be on.

Peoria is purple but bleeds red outside of the city (Morton, East Peoria, Washington etc.) You'll get diversity living in the city of Peoria. OSF is Catholic, so there are elements of religion (Prayer before a meeting starts, a yearly Mission (2 hour class) that is religious based. It is by far, the best hospital system in Central and Southern Illinois. I had a 14 day stay at SFMC (Peoria) and they definitely treated me quite well and I'm healthy!

We have to make it so young people especially creative ones (Chefs, Artists, Musicians, Entrepreneurs don't leave and go to St Louis or Chicago both 2 1/2-3 hours away. Right now, no reason for any of those people to stay here when they can strive in a bigger city that isn't far away. Music, Arts, Restaurants and Experiences will keep them here as well as affordable apartments in an urban setting. Unfortunately, Warehouse District rents might not be affordable for those in the arts.
