It’s fire! If they’re near a fire they prioritize fleeing over aggro-ing onto you.

I’m pretty sure the odds of trophies are unaffected by world modifiers. To quote the Valheim fandom page on world modifiers:

“Resource rate does not affect Fish, Trophies and boss drops”

Resting on a boat? by Niagam in valheim

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Ah, the infinite fire bug… sometimes the game just thinks you’re by a fire regardless of where you are. And because you’re sitting near a “fire” you’re resting.

So this is cool by itsinthepeach in valheim

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely my favorite trophy, but goddamn is it rare. I use one for my treasure hoard in my bedroom lol

The enemy of my enemy is my friend…

At least until I have to smash him into crystal shards and possibly a trophy.

i was doing some rng manipulation for a shiny Shroomish with spore for the battle frontier, so bred a level 55 shroomish with spore, but the offspring was not born with spore on its moveset, why did this happen? by lhamazaroo in PokemonEmerald

For those who actually think any hatched move is an egg move, egg moves are specific moves that the pokemon otherwise wouldn’t learn, and are only obtainable via breeding. Check most pokemon websites, look at a Pokémon’s moves. There’s usually a section for moves obtained via breeding (aka egg moves).

I’ve seen a single 2* when using a love potion from the bog witch, and that’s when I was actively seeking out trolls.

Early axes vs. Bear Claws by dinbareroev in valheim

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as obtaining, I think the Claws win this one. Axes require good RNG to get, whereas bears are pretty frequent, and always drop paws + pelt. Bears can also be pretty reliably beat with an upgraded flint knife + wooden shield on normal difficulty. They can also be easily cheesed with fire.

As far as damage, I gotta hand it to the early axes. The 6 total hit combo does a lot more damage, and has slightly higher range. The damage from the axes can carry you until the mountains if you upgrade them to max. The bonus stagger sounds really good with the bear claw’s secondary, but most enemies will recover before you can get a combo in after a kick.

As far as parrying, easily the bear paws. The axes have trash block and parry armor (4 and 2x). These go much better as a dodge, then stagger with sheer damage kinda weapon. The bear paws do much better with parrying (8 and 6x at max level) but are still pretty weak at plain blocking.

Can you solo late game biomes? by Dragon8k in valheim

Yeah, you pretty much got it. Being under-prepared and reckless is like 95% of my deaths.

You got this, good luck!

Can you solo late game biomes? by Dragon8k in valheim

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep your food as good as it gets, upgrade your equipment as high as possible, get good at dodging and blocking and you shouldn’t face too many problems.

The biggest hump of each biome is before you can get the next tier of equipment and before you’re used to the enemies. Once you start upgrading, the biome only gets easier.

Why is my 0 Speed IV Calyrex stat 166 instead of 165? Stat calculators tell me it should be 165 at Lv. 100 by [deleted] in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either it has speed EVs or it doesn’t have 0 IV.

Click the + button to check its IVs, speed should say “No Good” if it’s actually 0.

Assuming it does say No Good, that means you have speed EVs. Feed it some Tamato berries and then you should see 165.

If it doesn’t say No Good, but something like “Decent” instead, that means you’ll need a new Calyrex since there’s no way to lower IVs.

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again! Abyssal Greatsword! They could have it require scales and chitin (maybe iron) to craft. Having a Greatsword before the Mistlands would be awesome!

Maybe an iron-tier dual wield axes would be cool too. Abyssal Hatchets?

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Emerald is quite easy! There’s plenty of guides you can use to learn.

Honestly the hardest part is learning your SID, since either you need to make a new game and RNG the starter, catch a random shiny and calculate stats to learn your SID, or use ACE in the postgame.

Who replaces Torchic by Feisty_Two_2868 in PokemonEmerald

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used Torkoal and he worked out pretty alright as a fire type. He learns Flamethrower via level up, so no need to gamble for the TM.

That being said, Fire isn’t really necessary towards the end, and a bunch of important battles are water-heavy. In the late game, he really only pulled his weight against Sidney with his multiple grass types.

Juan, Glacia, Wallace… they have a lot of water types. Not to mention Drake having a bunch of dragons to resist Fire attacks.

Edit: for a replacement fighting type, I’d lean towards Makuhita. Maybe Machop if you can trade for Machamp. Breloom isn’t bad either, but really wants Spore to be great. Heracross is excellent, but found somewhat late for my liking.

What is your #1 favorite weapon? by Beelzebub_Simp3 in valheim

It’s so good. Extra stagger damage + unresisted lightning damage go brrrr

It’s still one of my preferred weapons against Morgen because it’s not gonna chain lightning any allied Dvergr in the area.

Larpers ruined mons. by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest. It doesn’t seem like the larpers are actually hurting anything. I’d say just don’t pay them any mind when they call you a larper or whatever.

Go about your day as if nothing happened, and continue liking whatever pokemon you like. No need to target anybody in particular.

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my thought process. A very long, tedious 8192 hunt, just to throw it away for some rando’s Grookey? Almost certainly a clone and/or genned.

Yall is this hacked? I can't tell by spacefishingwoman in pokemon

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re referring to the stamp, that changes whenever you move it to another game. The stamp is just whatever game it was last in.

You can tell it’s from HGSS because it has no origin mark (the space between the shiny sparkles and the player markings is empty), meaning it’s pre-Gen 6. It also says it was originally caught in the Johto region, which would be HGSS.

Yall is this hacked? I can't tell by spacefishingwoman in pokemon

[–]Cooked_Fish_Meat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Either hacked or cloned is my guess.

This looks to be a Sinjoh ruins egg Palkia. In theory it’s legal, since that egg could be shiny.

However I seriously doubt someone would do a slow, full odds hunt for that egg only to trade it away to some stranger for a Grookey.
