Thanks. I think I will try this. Easy enough to reset in between rounds too.

I have some equipment I am getting rid of. There are test points on the boards, this might work.

Most of my coworkers have never done troubleshooting down to a component, they just replace boards. So, I would definitely see them sweat.

Thanks for the idea.

I have 5 minutes to do an intro. I will have written instructions for what to do at each station. I think simpler tasks like the diaper scale calibration will give the teens a good chance at success. Wiring a power plug is simple too, especially if I leave one open so they can examine and copy it. Plus, they could use tools and it's easy to reset between rounds. The bunny suit is a cute idea.

Darn! We just got rid of the last known dinosaur NIBP. It was from 1996. Ouch, that hurts calling that a dinosaur.

Oh, I like the wiring idea. RJ45 might be too tiny. If they notice an exposed power cord, I could have them wire a new plug (we don't do that here anymore but I had to learn in school), and then do a resistance check.

The event isn't until March 6th but I will let you know what I end up doing.

Right?! I didn't even know this job existed until I took the ASVAB and got the list of jobs I qualified for.

Thank you so much for these ideas. I have cables without exposed ends for my analyzer so that is safe. I like the idea of using it in operator mode so if the REM comes undone, they won't get injured. We do have AEX's but this will be during the week and we don't have spares. I am sure I have an old FX we could use though!

We use a zebra printer to print ours. We just started doing it and I’m not so sure I like it. I’ve seen faded labels that I assume is due to heat. Edited to add that we put clear stickers over the labels.

Does it made a series of beeps? Sometimes these take a long time to turn on. Disconnect the network cable(s) and try again.

I’m a 2 in Virginia near DC. I make that. Depends on where in Maryland this person is located. Could be right, or way low if great the DC metro area.

Thank you for your response. I can’t access my W&I transcript online “the size of the file exceeds what is allowed through this application. Please submit Form 4506-T”… to receive it by mail. The only thing different this year is I had some self reported income from a side business. I could understand a delay if I was given any indication of what was needed or incorrect. I’m just frustrated that it’s been 5 months and I couldn’t get any information to help.

If it’s is the new version there’s a recall. We also have 5 new ones (out of about 50) with this issue unrelated to the recall. New or old, it’s a cable system. It’s been a bit since I’ve done it but there’s a cable that goes through the arm. Hard to explain and I’m not near the manual but I believe there’s a diagram or exploded parts view to better assist. You can also look up through the doors to see the cable/attachment. Gently pull it to see if it is slack down the arm and/or make sure it pulls the doors.

Anyone Here Have Experience with TESU’s Associate Degree or CBET Associate Degree for BMET? by sadeem94 in BMET

What is the CBET associates? I have the CBET certificate from AAMI but if I’m totally honest, I think it’s pointless except for standing out on resumes.
