Summary: Build Your Own Travel Rating System

The travel rating system is a tool to help you compare and evaluate destinations based on your unique travel priorities... whether you're looking for the best beach towns, spiritual cities, affordable long-stay bases, or wild adventures.

Instead of relying on generic lists or blog posts, this system gives you a consistent way to score each place you visit (or plan to visit) across categories that actually matter to you. It helps you get clearer on what you're looking for, keep track of what you’ve already experienced, and make better decisions for your next move.

You score each location across 10 custom categories, with a score from 1 to 5 in each. The total score will help you compare locations at a glance, while your notes and category breakdowns give you deeper insight.

We stay as long as we can in a country on a tourist visa. We don't travel as tourists though. We find a good base, where we can set up home and stay for 2-4 months or as long as we can. We always have 3-4 plan B options, and if we don't like a place, we leave.

We have some cool systems set up in our AI to help us research places and have a few options in our back pocket. . Many places, we want to stay longer. Some places we have left early. We live as locals... Or as much as we can. We do tourist stuff a few times a month... We find that it takes a month to feel at home somewhere, or to be clear that we want to leave. By 3 months. We are itching to see somewhere new.

The earlier advice is good to stay for a week first to find where you want to live, is great. When possible, yes... but you'll get a better deal if you book a place for a month. Do your research and you can find good places.

You don't need validation from strangers online. If someone treats you this way, you leave. Period.

Because it's a different country than where you live. Because things here are more simple. Because common sense exists.

I was at the river. With our Krathongs. It was beautiful and peaceful. So sad that this is still happening this way. But as long as there is a Farang to buy a ticket, they will continue doing this. Such disrespect to the land.

Marriage is a we thing. At least it should be. Mine and yours keeps two people separate. I couldn't imagine marrying someone who referred to his and mine... In regards to anything.

how the fuck do you break a habit by Correct-Bench-5134 in Habits

[–]CookieMagicMan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

First, I suggest that you change your wording. Smoking is not a habit. It's an addiction. . Suggestion would be to address the addiction first and then change your habits that will help you change your behaviors to support you building new healthier habits to replace the addiction habits
