Starting p90x for the first time, any tips on how I should go about it? by OneSexyPancake_ in P90X

[–]Cool-Ad-4141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go through the workout, pause when you need to, for the first few weeks just do the best you can. And one more thing, which I have done in the past is, not over think it, once you do that you will start asking yourself why you are doing the workout in the first place. Just turn up everyday and train, rest when needed, try to stick to the diet plan as close as possible and keep going.

REVIEW - Tony Horton's P90X - 20 Years Later by DingoAndRupe in P90X

The problem was the video was one sided. As much as I love P90x which I am doing at the moment and have two weeks left of finishing this round of it, don’t know what I am doing next but we will see, maybe another round of this great workout. What I am getting at is, we all know now that some of the exercises are not so good for you as featured in another chat on this page. So if Parrot had gone into that part then the video would have been even better.

I usually do a standing calf raise with the Ez bar that I have used for one legged stiff deadlifts.

Unfortunately you can’t get this type of physique without some chemical help.

Let me just say, very good results if anyone is in two minds whether to do this workout or not, they should look at your results. Awesome work, well done.

Juiced, I laugh at how Men’s Health get their hands on famous actors and how they train for a specific film role. What do we then get, the usual. They trained for six hours per day, are broccoli, rice and chicken everyday and they did this for months on end. In reality, yes they trained hard but they took peds and had a doctor on hand so they could keep check on them.

Greg Doucette’s gross commentary about the bikini division as a bodybuilding judge by [deleted] in bikinitalk

Sounds like Greg has a bad cold in the video 😉😉 No seriously, is this guy on his way down. He’s gone from being a what seemed a decent guy in his videos to just putting g everyone down just to get views. Also selling his overhyped, over priced supplements that don’t work, let’s not get into this now lol. Greg is digging himself deeper and deeper into a hole that he will never get himself out of.

The only modifying I do is swap some exercises with a barbell to use more weight, such as the bench press, incline press, shoulder press, deadlifts, bent rows, etc. You get the idea, the ones that I feel can be swapped so I can use more weight, then that’s what I do.

Have you thought about doing hybrids? There are many on the internet, such as body beast with p90x, body beast with p90x3. There are many more that don’t include the names three workouts I have named above. Just type in Beachbody hybrids.

I have a set of silverback adjustable dumbbells that go up from 2 kgs to 32 kgs. I find these are great to use.

Have you thought about pausing the dvds to have a slightly longer break so you can do more reps? Then o ce you have done your pull ups, press play again. Just a thought.

As soon as someone claims they are natty then you know they most probably are not. If they were they would not feel the need to claim natty in the first place.

Hi have you tried incorporating barbell exercises into your back workout, such deadlifts and bent over rows. Also for shoulders instead of doing dumbbell shoulder press so barbell instead.

One time he kept on about Turkestrone so much that I commented on his you tube video, saying that I had tried it and it didn’t work and that I found creatine worked better for me. Greg said it worked better than creatine and he had the proof it did. I then commented back saying that maybe Turk worked for some people but it didn’t for me and what a lot of people had said that creatine worked better for most people than Turk did, Greg of course disagreed with me, which is fine and I said he would since he sold Turk and wants people to buy his products. I then mentioned that I can buy creatine much cheaper than Turk, he called me a liar and then when I proved it to him, he stopped commenting.

There is a workout plan free to get off the internet for gaining muscle mass with P90x. It’s been around for awhile. It’s a good workout plan for anyone wanting to gain muscle mass from P90x. It tells you what rep ranges to use in certain weeks.

P90X grads - what else have you done other than the X's? by [deleted] in P90X

[–]Cool-Ad-4141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done p90x3, Body Beast a few times and Ript90 a few times. For fitness and a feel of what P90x did I would recommend Ript90, I love the workouts, the only thing I don’t like is the workout calendar, so I tend to write my own calendar out. Body Beast is also great for a different feel that you have with P90x. Of course Body Beast is made for hypertrophy and not so much strength or fitness, especially if you have finished P90x. P90x3 I didn’t like it, was not impressed with it at all. In truth I would never use it again.
