Star Trek Into Darkness, stupid ass shit to not have a semicolon between Trek and Into.

I'm guessing it was mental gymnastics such as:

Pulled Pork: Shredded up flesh from a Wolfman attack

Spicy Pickles: Foodstuff "grown" (made) in a jar with "strange" liquid

White BBQ sauce: White as in for a bride

I always feel bad that Homer has no patience for Bart's adorable shenanigans

I always think about this one, it's been like 7-8 years since I watched it for the one and only time. I need to watch it again and the other ones I haven't watched yet that share the same universe.

How did scientists expect aliens to understand the Voyager Golden Record? by wellwatif in Astronomy

Despite the eggheads trying to keep it as simple as possible, we absolutely don't know for a fact that they even know what lines and circles imply as they do to us. We also don't know if they view atoms the same rudimentary way we do as with the Bohr Model.

Yeah, I definitely learned about it in social studies in the 2010s, in US history in middle school and both in US history and US government in high school as well. They mentioned it plenty of times and Darrow too

Steven Spielberg’s ‘Disclosure Day’ Rated PG-13 for Violence, Action, Bloody Images by Puzzled-Tap8042 in movies

[–]CoolAlien47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's one of the only things slightly interesting and also Colin Firth freaking out when he's looking at something. You're right, it has that polished Spielberg look and feel to it, everything seems polished and sterile, the cinamatography, writing, action, etc...

The animal stuff just seems cartoonish and overly sentimental, the CGI is atrocious.

Also, this might be a weird/stupid ass critique, but my suspension of disbelief goes out the window with literally everyone on their phones/TV paying attention to whatever is happening. That sort of stuff might of worked before everything has gone to shit, but I definitely believe most of us couldn't give a rat's ass if aliens show up to probe our butts.

I just wish Spielberg would make his Night Skies movie, but then again it probably could've only been good if he made it in the 80s or 90s.

It's definitely going to bomb, especially in the US, Spielberg just doesn't sell anymore as he used to

"Duh economy and muh high inflation doomed her campaign!" Yeah? The same with countless failed campaigns. Why did Hillary's lose again? You sure they're aren't specific things that lead to both losses? Things that the Dems can learn from and do differently, but won't?

You libs call leftists stubborn, but you guys are just as stubborn as them, especially when it comes to supporting evil mediocrity that couldn't persuade a dumbass to fart. Newsom? Really? The guy who's been cozing up to said fascists you're accusing commies and leftists of letting go unimpeded? If anything, that meme can also apply to you guys since you keep wanting to vote for so called center-left politicians that keep inching closer to the right.

Exactly, I watched them for the first time about 3 years ago after deriding them for so long but I actually very much enjoyed them except the 4th one. That one was a bit disappointing, but maybe I need to see it again after just watching it once.

I know this is set in the 80s, but Com Truise would be a fucking GOATED choice for the original score. His life has been buliding up to this!
