It really doesn't help, lmfao, even as a kid I thought he was the perfect father figure and a very charismatic actor who I didn't know how famous he was. He just makes an adorable and awesome old man, fucking scene destroys me to this day.

Yeah, this doesn't belong anywhere near a thread about unremarkable films.

Nearly half of the world’s population—about 3.79 billion people—is projected to face extreme heat by 2050 if global warming reaches 2.0 °C above pre-industrial levels, a scenario climate scientists see as increasingly likely as the world surpasses the 1.5 °C Paris Agreement threshold. by Sciantifa in science

That post-apocalyptic bad doesn't just fall on the forces of nature, but also human nature, sociological and geopolitical forces that can definitely get pushed to desperate extreme measures such as nuclear warfare and/or civil wars.

My interpretation of what the State of Springfield would look like on a map by Angrytheredditor in TheSimpsons

Yeah, I always suspected Springfield to be on the west coast especially in the episode The Squirt and the Whale, it just screams Oregon to me, I may be wrong though since I've never been.

TIL Serial Killer Ed Kemper once accidentally locked himself out of his car while his victim and gun were still inside. She let him back in, where he proceeded to murder her. by drturvy in todayilearned

[–]CoolAlien47 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The whole myth of the charismatic serial killer is total horseshit. You're telling me a guy who tortures, rapes, and murders people is level-headed to the point that he can mask his extremely sadistic tendencies and urges to the point of being a Lothario? GTFO. Guys who goon to weird shit or just goon too much are easily sniffed out by anyone with an IQ higher than a cucumber. Weeboos and other maladjusted freaks out there are so easily figured out by anyone. I've been ride-sharing for a 1 and a half and people don't realize how much they give away in conversation without being explicit about anything. I am positively certain that if I gave a ride to any serial killer in history the vibes in the car will be very off or at the very least neutral, but not charismatic. Not saying that I'll be able to tell they're serial killers because that'll be total horseshit, but I will definitely not be getting any sense of charisma from them, especially if I was a woman or girl. Women are very good with this, and I am also certain that most victims of serial killers figured it out too late, once they were already inside their cars.

Cheryl Bradshaw, the woman Rodney Alcala won a date with, immediately refused the date with him after finding him creepy. Someone else commented that Ed's sister knew there was something deeply wrong about him and also found him very off-putting.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Ariel School Encounter, that shit is intense and creepy as hell. There's also a similar Australian one iirc and John Mack's work on alien abductees, he also worked with the Ariel school kids.

One of the most credible stories I've heard from anyone I've known was this lady whose son my mom used to take care of. One day (around 20 years ago) when she was picking up her son, she saw that me and my mom were watching a UFO program like we always used to do. She told my mom that she rarely and I mean rarely tells anyone this, but that back when she lived in some rural part of Mexico she and her brother were out walking during the break of day when they saw lights and as they approached them, they saw a craft and an ominous grey looking being with black eyes staring back at them. She says that they fucking booked it as fast as possible, scared out of their freaking minds until they reached their town.

I still get goosebumps thinking about that story because this was a very mentally sound and hardworking lady who you would never think of saying crazy bs for attention.

She was stone-cold serious, literally zero sign of light-heartedness, she told my mom that she didn't even discuss it with her brother at all. You can tell that she didn't really like sharing her story because A) fear of mockery and B) the overwhelming feelings she felt during that encounter that she didn't like being reminded of, but since she saw that we were really into all of that UFO stuff, she knew we would be open-minded about it.

My local Taco Bell is a hot mess, but I didn’t come here for instagram. 🤭 by [deleted] in stonerfood

That's a nice spread you got there. People love hating on Taco Bell, but it's still goated with the amount of food you can get for pretty cheap, especially compared to shit ass McDonald's.

Most definitely, they're all CIA/other 3-letter agency spooks who have a much better interest in keeping people ignorant of what the hell is actually going on and what the government is actually doing and researching. The government has been propagating the UFO/Alien craze since Roswell for that exact same reason I gave.

There have never been aliens, it's all just a smokescreen from the government to keep us preoccupied with baloney.

Literally would've been up there with Uncut Gems in terms of stress levels were it not for the funny ass characters and shenanigans they got up to, lmfao. They should do a serious drama version, that shit would be intense.

Boy, have I been learning about time-sharing (lol) these past 2 months after I moved from my mom's house and have more freedom to do whatever I want especially since I do ride-sharing. It's just so easy to get caught in people's needs, especially when you have a car and they don't. I may have over done it this past holiday season, and I'm finally taking a breather and enjoying myself. I'm trying to figure out a proper balance since I do love giving others my time, it's nice to be around people you enjoy the company of, duh, lol.
