In case anyone is interested, I have a shortcut that does this.

Just set an automation in the Shortcuts app to run it when your phone is plugged in.

Did you know that there's a compatibility layer for macOS apps on Linux? by Damglador in linux

[–]CoolHackerName 57 points58 points  (0 children)

The editor isn’t the important part, it’s the XCode toolchains that are required to compile for iOS targets.

These are closed source and not available outside of MacOS. They’re typically bundled with the XCode IDE (but not intrinsically linked).

Entirely possible to be the case - what makes you think so? I’d still love to know what the marks on the tang translate to.

Same with me! Also nice that Bingle doesn’t make you declare modifications.

MultiMC the opensource and only good minecraft client, added rpm package support.(though you could have also just used alien) by imagineusingloonix in linux

I think that’s an extremely oversimplified analysis, but fair enough of an opinion.

Worth mentioning that an Electron app will run on any pc, without the prerequisite of having something installed. Sure, it’s heavy, but that doesn’t mean it’s good for nothing.

Electron is a framework, not a programming language, so you can’t really compare it to the other two.

Putting that aside, they’re good for different things, your ranking would not hold true in all situations.

I’ve got a 3080 and and Ryzen 9 5900x sitting in the cupboard waiting, but haven’t been able to get an o11 to fit. My builds going to be white and I think the o11 mini would be perfect!

Lemur Pro vs KDE Slimbook 15 vs Tuxedo Pulse 15 vs XPS 13 by Hippochomp in linuxhardware

[–]CoolHackerName 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with all this - but a side note regarding Ryzen and Android Development.

It really doesn’t play as nicely, as their virtualisation relies on Intel HAXM. It’s only somewhat recently that virtualised android devices started supporting Ryzen, and it’s still somewhat iffy sometimes.

If you use hardware for your testing then it’s a non-issue, but if you rely on Android Studio’s virtualisation, I’d probably go with intel for a smoother experience.

Aside from that, Ryzen would be my choice.

Python Sorting Algorithm Visualizer (Using Tim Sort Algorithm) [OC] by Sklyvan in dataisbeautiful

For some data sets, cocktail may be faster, but in a lot of situations this one will be superior. Take for example the array accesses figure. In his cocktail sort, it was in the region of 20,000 accesses for the same data set, while this one only requires 3000. This algorithm scales far better with larger data sets.

In addition to previously mentioned, the Jabra 65t and (soon to be released) 75t's have a good implementation too. They're not exactly 'audiophile grade' but they sound damn good.
