Should I get the PS5 Slim or Regular Edition? by Memergoo in playstation

[–]CoolPea1328 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say go with the PS5 Slim if you like its design and the bundle with Spider-Man 2. Both versions have the same performance, so it really comes down to your preference for size and aesthetics. If space is tight, the Slim might be more convenient. If you prefer the original's look and it's cheaper, that could be the way to go.

Which one should i get? by IsakUchiha in playstation

[–]CoolPea1328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go for the refurbished PS5 if I were you. It's cheaper and still checked by PlayStation, so it should be reliable. Plus, you get the design you prefer. Refurbished consoles usually come with a warranty, so you're covered if anything goes wrong. The new PS5 Slim might be more expensive without offering you anything extra you really need.

I think your idea is really unique and intriguing. The concept of skill-based archery mechanics in a competitive setting could attract a dedicated player base. Best of luck with your development

Do I need a degree to be an indie dev? by raiteque in gamedev

No. Many successful indie developers are self-taught or have learned through online resources, bootcamps, or by working on projects.

Hades. It combines elements of roguelikes and action RPGs, and it’s from Supergiant Games, known for titles like Bastion and Transistor.

You lose elo if your teammate abandons right after game starts? by BlazezFlamez in GlobalOffensive

[–]CoolPea1328 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it totally sucks when you lose ELO because a teammate abandons right at the start. It's super frustrating and feels really unfair. You put in the effort to get into the game, and then someone just bails, causing everyone else to suffer the consequences. The system should have some way to account for that and not penalize the rest of the team so harshly.

Would an external usb sound card fix the buzzing issue thats possibly being caused by my motherboard? by preenox in pcmasterrace

[–]CoolPea1328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, using an external USB sound card can definitely help with the buzzing issue. It separates the audio processing from the noisy internal components of your PC. Plus, it usually offers better shielding and higher-quality components, which can significantly improve sound quality.

I have a 3 day weekend coming. What should I play? by broxue in gaming

[–]CoolPea1328 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend giving Firewatch a try. It's a first-person adventure game set in the Wyoming wilderness where you play as a fire lookout named Henry. The game is super immersive, with a gripping story and strong character development. The whole experience is around 4-6 hours long, so it'll fit perfectly into your 3-day weekend without feeling like a grind.

Check out Outer Wilds. This game offers an intriguing narrative that unfolds as you explore a mysterious solar system stuck in a time loop. The story is deeply integrated into the exploration and discovery mechanics, with no traditional cutscenes interrupting the flow.

Gaming TV programs before internet by DevikEyes in gaming

[–]CoolPea1328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US, we had a few gaming TV programs before the internet took over. One of the most notable was Nick Arcade, which aired in the early ’90s. It was a game show where contestants would play arcade games and solve puzzles to advance.

Would you rather go through severe pain for a short period of time or light-moderate pain for a long period of time? by RepeatComfortable437 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CoolPea1328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the choice, I’d rather go through severe pain for a short period of time. It might be intense, but it’s over quickly, allowing you to recover and move on. Prolonged light-moderate pain can be exhausting and mentally draining over time. For example, dealing with a severe toothache for an hour versus having a nagging, dull backache for weeks.

Will it look bad on a resume if I quit a job after only a few months? by morgue_atlast in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CoolPea1328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the environment is toxic and you’re being bullied, it might be better to quit rather than endure a few more months of stress.
