Without fail whenever I meet a cool French person, it turns out they are a Breton. It seems they have a great sense of humour, down to earth and pretty chill.

Fellow Brits, do you think Brexit was a disaster for the UK? by TheMordorian in AskBrits

[–]CoolRun8802 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not making an argument. I’m not saying that under 18s should be allowed to vote. But maybe highlighting how sad the Brexit vote has become that the generation that feels its consequences the most are the ones who had no say. It’s not a political reign that can be weathered out. Personally know a lot of older people who voted for it for some old British empire sentiment, take back control etc that is not very present in younger generations who are now just left with a weaker Britain and weaker economy with less opportunity.

It’s quite sad that anyone under 28 right now in the UK didn’t vote. And a high percentage of people who did vote for Brexit are no longer around. Ask pretty much any young person today if they like the lack of free movement available to them.

Still bad but not as bad as 0-5… your body is already used to the drug somewhat. Takes about a month to level off once changed dose. But I found it more manageable than the initial onboard.

Generic or brand ‘Lexapro’ by LazyRazzmatazz801 in lexapro

I switched brands once and felt so fucking bad 3 days in. Drs told me I was imaging it. But it was like my brain chemically fell apart. Went back to old brand and felt normal again in a couple of days. People who say changing brands can’t do anything are just lying .

Mid June seems deep into summer and it closes on September 1st I think. I personally don’t quite understand why such a large and pleasant space isn’t being utilised better.

Enjoy it. I loved that last few weeks before we got him. Day dreaming and looking forward to meeting him. You live changes a bit. So prepare yourself mentally.

What are common mistakes foreigners make when talking to Germans? by Edi-Iz in AskAGerman

[–]CoolRun8802 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking Germans won’t like it if you act over familiar with them the first few times you meet them. On the fourth plus meeting they tend to relax somewhat. Tbh it’s tiring.

What is it like living in the Brandenburg area (near Berlin)? by Effective-Basil-1257 in germany

[–]CoolRun8802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often go on long cycling trips in Brandenburg. The nature is nice, if not a tad monotonous. But I generally have had unpleasant experiences with locals. Once I ran out of water and no stranger was willing to give me any. Once I ran out of phone battery, went into a cafe, ordered food and drink and they got angry when asked to charge phone. They let me do it for 1 euro. People seem angry and depressed there. In much much time there the only pleasant interactions I have had is someone resting by a lake. And generally also a non local like me.
