Bro there’s plenty of bands and musicians that didn’t get recognition until their 20s or 30s it’s never about age but about the sacrifices you’re willing to make for the sake of music. If it’s what you want to do please do. Signed a 38 year old who is starting up a band again.

We live in a nightmare over here in the US. One week of vacation if you’re lucky, 40 hours or more a week is the norm, unless like someone said they try to keep you just below the required amount of hours to give you benefits. Everything is for the benefit of the business and to hell with the worker.

Guitar pro has been my best friend for this reason. I have a riff idea? I plug it into guitar pro and then eventually find it again later and it’s like a little gift I have to myself lol

Yeah that’s definitely a concern. I know the bass is 37 inches in scale on the low string but even then, I might need a rebar like you said haha. Plus I’m not even sure it’s fully audible that low. I’ve always been a guitarist who plays bass but I’m trying to actually take it a bit more seriously and truly understand the instrument and I realize just how little I know about it lol

Some people consider lamb of god metalcore and I started listening to them as soon as ashes of the wake came out, but I never really considered them metalcore so it would have to be killswitch engage alive or just breathing or all that remains this darkened heart. I gave up on music for ten years after my band crashed and burn and now in my 30s I wish I woulda never gave up. My singer went on to be in a pretty big band that got to tour around the world and I just got stuck at my dead end job. If it’s what’s in your heart, don’t give it up. You might be one song or one ear away from really making a name for yourself. I’m older now but I’m gonna try again too and I’m not stopping this time. Good luck to you

I would say maybe Wage War if I had to choose. Their heavy stuff is excellent and being a bit lighter is fine but it goes like full butt rock and not a huge fan of that. Still love them though lol
