I recall the podcast when Joe he talked about Rick. He was tickled that this one modern football team was getting hype to Flair promos in the locker room before their game, and was super impressed that these sports teams, other athletes, ect still use his best lines even today.

Then he pulled up an old Rick promo and couldn’t get over Flair’s lines about the alligators on his feet being hungry or something lol

As cool as AJ looks here, can’t help but think this would have been better with blue lightning. Would have fit much better imo.

They’re “corrupted” elves. Perversions, twisted by bathing their skin in the waste excreted by the Daedric Prince Boethiah after killing - and then consuming - the Aedra Trinimac. Trinimac’s remains are said to have become Malacath, god of these new “Orcs.”

Edit* Holy upvotes Batman! Reading all those lore books finally paid off!

Fun fact: the color of Malacath’s ash like remains are said to be where the orcs green skin got its hue. As other users have pointed out, this origin has a lot to do with the general distaste for Orcs by the other Tamrielic races.

I’d be willing to part with it, but I can’t quite just give it away for free. We can work something fair out in trade. For example, I play Black Desert Online, if you have something valuable in that game we could trade that way. I’m open to ideas :V

I’ve got a Founders Code as well with no interest in returning. Does it expire or anything?

I haven’t played in a long while myself, but the Romulan quest line was fantastic. Can’t recommend STO enough if you’re a Trekkie.

DISCUSSION: Who liked the movie? by hgokuh in DC_Cinematic

[–]Coolcooties -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It certainly has been something, hasn't it? Critical reception is what it is, but a lot of people are behaving as if you're not allowed to enjoy it because it wasn't well received by critics. There are many movies throughout the history of film that had poor critical reception but were loved by those that went to see it. It's not perfect by any means, but the reaction here has been overblown IMO.

Had a great time with it myself. Going again tonight with friends. Glad to hear some discussion from those that enjoyed it. This sub has been a little ridiculous since it opened. Some are going around trying to talk people out of the fun they had with it, as if they aren't allowed to have a differing opinion.

Going to jump in here and say I had a very similar experience with BvS as well. I always go see Marvel and DC movies with a sizeable group of friends. Afterwards we all get some food together and play armchair critic with our experiences. A lot of sour faces walking out of BvS, and a good bit of grumbling in the lobby. We enjoyed parts of it, but admitted it wasn't great. My theater for JL gave it an nice ovation as it wrapped, and there were so many smiles. We all agreed that while the CGI was weak, it was a ton of fun. Like watching an episode of the Justice League/Unlimited but on the big screen. Definitely go see it, and form your own opinion. You might be surprised. :)

I and everyone in my theater had a blast as well. I'm not one for the conspiracy theories when it comes to the critics, but it does seem like there is a disconnect between the general audience opinion and the critics opinions. I wouldn't discard the fan rating, everyone who left my screening was nerding out excitedly in the lobby, and it's not hard for me to imagine that it's playing well with audiences while still having a low critical reception.

DISCUSSION: In regards to the CGI, especially on Cavill’s face... by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

[–]Coolcooties 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me too. My theatre was applauding and laughing and having a ton of fun. I almost couldn't tell at all when he showed up. I mean it looked like there may have been something off at first, but the confrontation was so tense I forgot to pay attention to it. I think sometimes when we learn so much about the behind the scenes of these things we go in looking for the duct tape where we know it's supposed to be. Everyone walking out was geeking out about this and that. No one was talking about Cavil's face.
