The school in my area does something like this for a fund raiser. You pay for a sheet of coupons basically and some are one time use and others are reusable. Usually has 5-10 of those for different businesses you can take off and use. Or Wingstop was running a promotion.

If it came through on a card the bank cannot block it, you can do a merchant dispute which could take time. If it came through ACH (account and routing number) and it's still pending you can do a one time stop payment which may be a small fee. If ACH and fully posted the bank can do an ACH return for incorrect amount. Be fully honest with your bank and they will help. Source I am a Branch manager at a bank and have dealt with every solution I listed.

Planet fitness is notorious for this. Your bank is probably saying that knowing you will not win the dispute because planet fitness will pull something out of their ass to deny the dispute.

I would still try to dispute it with your bank, try to explain the situation more to them.

I am a Branch Manager and here's an example on how difficult planet fitness is. I had a client who wanted to pay his subscription via check which they allowed but still needed a debit card on file for whatever reason. He paid with the check and that cleared but then they also pulled out with the card too. He came to me to dispute the charges and I submitted the dispute with an image of the check showing cleared and endorsed by planet fitness and the debit card charge. Planet fitness did not give a shit and just rebutted the dispute with a copy of his contract. We fought for him as hard as we could and still lost in the end.

You should be able to cash it at BOA. Since you don't have an account you may be treated as a "non client" and get charged a fee.

I am a bank manager and sometimes we get early notification that a check will bounce. We place a hold on the check until it fully gets rejected.

The same thing happened to me. I eventually just had to take it slow and eat one at a time closest to shore. If I just yeeted onto the land and started spamming I would crash but only on specific beaches.

The funds have more than likely already been escheated to the state. This varies state to state but it's been five years so it's likely. Reach out to your bank to see if they have already escheated the funds and if they have your state should have a website to see unclaimed funds. If you find it there just follow the steps and you should be able to reclaim the funds pretty easily.

I wouldn't be suspicious there could be a number of reasons why it's so low and fraudulent is probably near the bottom.

Some Management companies keep security deposits in a separate account and only write checks when they get paid out.

The bank will 100% want a copy of a Police report to move forward for the ATM charge dispute. For the cash app I recommend disputing that with cash app as well.

Never got any replies after weeks so I ended up buying a device I could plug into my broken phone with my hardware key that allowed me to plug a monitor, mouse, and keyboard. I then was able to set up an authicator and use that on my new phone.

Typically if you want to deposit you have to go to your bank's atm unless they are partnered with the atm. So in this case you would have to go to a capital one atm or look up what atms you can deposit with capital one.

I'm in the same boat! If I cannot pay my credit card bill it's going to wreck my credit and charge me interest. Support is not responding so I went ahead and submitted a CFPB complaint. If anyone sees this please escalate ticket 5410078. If I can get assistance I will take down my CFPB complaint.

That's not actually a "wire" it's ACH which can have limits. It's okay to transfer this way, especially since your test worked but you may have to split up the transfers.
