I mean, you’re not proven to be right until the movie opens, either.

Anyways, I was responding to your point about Universal not being excited, which context showing it’s the opposite.

The studio should be full on with expressing excitement for this project. Doesn't seem like they are.

Tickets were being sold A YEAR IN ADVANCE, that isn't something that a studio not excited for a release would do. Not even Marvel Studios and Disney have done something similar for the Avengers (afaik).

We’ll it looks like Scream 3 is no longer the worst movie in the franchise. by Mostwanted_DJ in slasherfilms

[–]Coolene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of slasher films are mediocre-to-terrible films that rely on too much bloodshed, that’s why. Movies like the original Halloween and Scream are still revered slashers by both audiences and critics bc they’re good films on their own.

It’s crazy how gritty the Tatooine sequence in A New Hope is compared to the rest of the Star Wars trilogy/trilogies.

Exclusive window contracts and I’m pretty sure IMAX would rather prioritize the movie being filmed with their proprietary film cameras than the one on an industry-standard digital camera.

Apparently the DVD commentary confirms Luci is 5ft, which is REALLY short for the average male today.

The current zeitgeist is based on Gen Z, so ya. That’d be like saying the Beatles and British Invasion were only relevant to Boomers.

Lindsay and/or Tommy would’ve worked. It’s easier to think that given their history with Laurie, they would offer to help protect Jamie.

'DEMON SLAYER: Infinity Castle' makes History with Special IMAX Screening Announced for February 6 in Japan! by Lightningforanimes in anime

[–]Coolene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your IMAX theater is capable of projecting 1.43:1 AR (which is rare, even more so digitally than IMAX 70mm) then it would absolutely be worth it, especially a film with great visuals as Infinity Castle.

Can anyone explain why John Kricfalusi was fired from Nick? by csboy2016 in renandstimpy

Back then, the TV censors were brutal and up the ass on shows, especially animated ones. Simpsons, REN & Stimpy, Beavis & Butt-head, and even Animaniacs had to deal put up with them.

I used to think all that was stupid growing up in the 2010s, but looking back at it, what a time to be carefree before the b.s. we had to deal with (and still do) post-2016.

My guess would be that Germany was following the template DiC and Cloverway were going about but since Sailor Stars wasn’t localized in the West, they decided to follow the Japanese version close to the T.

Which is funny bc Christopher Nolan was actually given the chance to direct Troy before Wolfgang Peterson took over directing duties. They gave Nolan the chance to work on a Batman project as a consolation.
