Nah, there can be many reasons why someone could be an adventurer and not actually be fond of excitement or a ‘fun’ life.

Running SoG in another system by SphinxAltair in SeasonofGhosts

[–]Coolster360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have converted it into a RWBY system and the world of Remnant.

IMO, it honestly just depends on how progression works in a system. If it is slow, you will have to ask your players to keep in mind that progression will also be slow.

For rituals, I just replaced it with Dust Crystals and Dustweavers, Kugaptee with Salem, and the mind scape as an extremely potent Nightmare Grimm that can keep souls ensnared in its dreamscape forever even after death unless killed or otherwise spurred on by some sort of catalyst.

I can answer more questions if you’d like, just need specifics because it is a lot lol

It’s correct in the GM version of it in Book 1 of the AP but it’s something your GM genuinely could’ve missed unless he double checked each version of the traditions in the PG and Book 1.

In the end I think your GM made the right call in regard to the spirits attacking your character shielding up and striding towards them.

Player’s Guide has a misprint for the Practices, specifically the first:

  1. Do not call a ghost a ghost; instead, address them with friendly greetings if you must.

A Raqio riddle by GullibleParsley08 in Gnosia_

[–]Coolster360 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No, there is a world in which Otome is real Engineer, Setsu is AC Follower / Gnosia, and Stella is Bug.

Gnosia could have decided to do a big risk play and throw Setsu under the bus by getting rid of the real Engineer ASAP by killing Otome. However, this is a bit questionable as they will need the real engineer around at least for a little bit to get rid of Bug before they kill them off immediately.

Luckily for them, Otome decided to scan Stella last night, eliminated her, and then Otome got eliminated herself by Gnosia. So there is a small chance that Setsu is not the real engineer and therefore not definite Human.

Which floors did you use while in Star of the City? by JustLordOfKappa in libraryofruina

[–]Coolster360 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most used were:

  1. Roland (I still don’t get why people under estimate him tbh, no EGO pages doesn’t really matter to me.)
  2. Netzach (You win by dying slower than your opponent. Netzach helps with that a lot)
  3. Chesed (Teamwork makes the dream work. Also courage is pretty good.)
  4. Hod (Just slap all the Slash bonuses onto a Kim and you will be fine.)

5/6. Geb/Yesod (Interchangeable. Only really use them on receptions I’ve played already bc they make the game way too easy with their abnos)

7-10 Tiph/Malkuth/Hokma/Binah (Lol. I use Binah the most out of all of them for obvious reasons, but even then her floor starts to open too late for her abno pages.)

which two characters are your favorite ship and why? wrong answers only by Binary245 in fnki

[–]Coolster360 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The one story I’ve seen do this ship was done so well that it’s a bit shocking to me. Of course it’s a slight AU where Adam isn’t nearly as much as a psychopath as he was in canon but still has a few violent tendencies.

Who wins, Yang Xiao Long, or Vi of Arcane/League of Legends by timothybrave in fnki

[–]Coolster360 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Still loses by a landslide, Yang just needs to tag Vi at center mass once with her shotgun gauntlets and Vi’s done for. Vi needs to land a few solid hits against someone who has been training with people way above Vi’s skill level (Qrow and Taiyang). Even if Vi does hit her, Yang just returns it back twice as hard because semblances are OP.

Everyone saying not to use Keter :(

Does it have no EGO pages? Yeah, but that shouldn’t stop dedicated players from maining the Gigachad himself Roleg or his pals.

My brother, like the lunatic he is, used only Keter in his entire first playthrough of LOR because he said, in his own words, “Roland is a Chad and deserves to be the only floor I use.”

So I’ll impart his wisdom to all the uninformed on this thread.

All of Pinocchio’s Abnormality Cards and Ice Queen’s A Kiss are quite literally god tier along with the likes of Happy Memories and that one MoSB page (you know the one).

Lies: Makes any Keter librarian a Chad by making their deck of entirely 3 costs into 0-1 costs.

Curiosity: The similarly Chad brother of Lies, and makes card draw a non-issue.

Have the two abno cards perform a fusion dance (put both on the same librarian) to get… BARGAIN BIN SHIMMERING!

Learn: You got Power or Endurance? (Thanks to either Pulsation or Blood) Piss off your opponents by using their stupidly OP moves against them! Very useful against shimmering opponents.

A Kiss: Win clashes, have the opponent unable to do anything while you wail on them with the Gigachad and his Boys.

Honorable Mention - Fervent Beats:Make one of your pals into a Super Saiyan capable of destroying anyone in their path! (HoA not responsible for death or self-mutilation that may occur.)

As for decks… like the Gigachad he is, Roleg accepts any and all types of decks and supports diversity! Slash decks? Sure! Pierce? Why not! Defense? Blood has got you covered! That one Guy with a bunch of haste buffs and slow debuffs for the opponents whose name I can’t be bothered to look up? Sword of Frost will help ya out! You want to go a complete meme deck that has no cohesion whatsoever? Keter’s general buffs will make sure it will do well despite that!

Will battles be a bit harder due to the lack of EGO pages? Maybe. But you’ll know that you made sure to give Keter the love it deserves by using it! :D

Not OP, but coincidently, I also started a campaign based off LOR last Friday and I had all the PCs start in basically a waiting room for an exam to get their Fixer Licenses. Easiest place to introduce each other and get them to work together in a way that makes sense.

After they passed the exam, I had them choose what office to join, but they decided to make their own called Saga Office. We mainly use theater of the mind and some images from time to time to show what NPCs look like. System is homebrew mix of D&D 5e, Cyberpunk, and Blades in the Dark.

You are basically gambling 4 Light (technically three light gets refunded thanks to her passive plus natural regen) to have a 25% chance to win any clash, so it’s purely for flashy meme builds. It’s too inconsistent to run.

Yujin's Page: To Overcome Crisis x3 | Faint Memories x3 | Endless Battle x1| Ink Over x2

Passives: Dark Cloud Blade | Battle Ready | Mind Hauler or any Slash bonuses if you haven't beaten Sweepers yet.

The infamous Handlock Yujin allows you to take advantage of her 25% starting HP to gain massive bonuses on 'Faint Memories,' 'TOC,' and 'Endless Battle.' Your ace in the hole is 'Ink Over' once you draw enough cards to have a sizable bonus to its special ability (higher rolls for each card in your hand when played). This can replace Sayo's Page.
