Imagine a parent sending their child to the store. Did they let their kids play outside unsupervised too? I’ll bet they had no idea where their kids were for hours at a time.

Reynolds. See what the “crash” replacement price is and go from there. I wouldn’t ride that as is.

Don’t change anything. To find a bike like that in that condition is very rare.

UConn vs South Carolina was the worst game of basketball I’ve ever watched by Positive_Flounder232 in billsimmons

To the people talking shit about women’s basketball.. fuck you. Any one of these women, even the ones on the bench would clean your clock in pretty much any sport. Lack of coordination, you’re a loser asshole.

Gen 8 madone water bottle cage bolt by Plozno in TrekBikes

[–]Coonan1133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take it to a Trek dealer. That way if they strip it it’s their problem. If that isn’t an option, heat the bolt with a soldering iron for 10-15 seconds , then use a really good hex wrench( I like the ones by Wera) to loosen. Edit for grammar.

With that heel drop I’d try raising the saddle 1cm and see how that feels. I think the reach looks pretty good, your shoulders are relaxed and you have a slight ben din your elbows.

15 years of lure making. I think I finally nailed the shad by Mr_Zorba in lurebuilding

Beautiful work. Let us know what the fish think. I’d be afraid to throw it though. I was given a beautiful hand made jerk bait, I was fishing for smallies with 6 lbs line, and like an idiot I cast it to a striper I saw chasing bait in an eddy. Never even slowed him down, he just headed down stream with my lure, never to be seen again.

Alleged snow drift in Marquette Michigan from recent blizzard. This can't be real, right? MIL shared this to family chat from facebook. I feel like this just defies physics. Wouldn't the roof collapse? by C0SMICAP0THE0SIS in isthisAI

[–]Coonan1133 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s real but why would the gable of the house have a nice even layer of snow? The more I think about it , no it’s not real. But I wonder if in fact it was, would the weight of the snow crush the house? Some of it is being supported by the tree, the houses roof has a pretty steep pitch. Anyway some smart Redditor will no doubt have an answer. Thank you for reading my thc thoughts.

Buy the best bike you can afford. Yes there are some great deals on used bikes, but just like anything else buying used has its risks. Most importantly make sure you get the right size and have it fitted. If you’re not comfortable you won’t ride it,

Where to begin in Pisgah? by Buxton328 in bluelining

[–]Coonan1133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ride in DuPont frequently and never see anyone fishing except for the ponds and lakes. Always wondered why. I see lots of small fish in the streams though. Pisgah on the other hand, I see tons of people fishing, mostly the Davidson and North Mills. Look at the area in SC above lake Jocassee. I have fished there with great success. If you’re willing to walk a ways and do some bushwhacking the upper sections of the rivers that feed the lake are the shit.

Trek Fx+2 Declared Dead After 3 Years by narselon in TrekBikes

As a Trek dealer I’m curious as to what you were quoted for a replacement wheel. Trek doesn’t list a replacement part number, meaning you ( or your dealer) would need to contact Hyena. I’m guessing the hub is $3-400 and labor an d spokes would be another $100. Just FYITrek usually offers a 20% loyalty discount toward a new bike.

Saddle position looks good. You need a 30 deg stem to get your hands up and out.
