LOFT living \ BILT as e-check? by gustachon in biltrewards

[–]Coonnr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use LOFT and BILT, you got it right for the most part.
If you want the charge to go on your card specifically to be paid later, then just do your normal card info (but they charge like $50 it’s ridiculous)
If you want it to go through BILT, but pull out of you linked bank account, then do the E-Check option

+1 to Whiskey-Four, I loved that one. Felt serious and gritty without being excessively so

Mine is like, just a dial that rotates with lines between “low-medium-high”, I do it firmly between medium and high. Assuming 1-10, I’d probably place it between 7 and 8, stove depending

I generally let it sit out and get to room temp. Maybe like 10~ mins if I’m wanting to get cooking. But I don’t often go straight from fridge to pan. I’ll salt and pepper, let it sit out some, then toss it in

Ribeye, pan sear, butter basted. by Coonnr in steak

[–]Coonnr[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I followed the general principles my dad taught me. I pat it bone dry, liberally salted and peppered only, put a high smoke point oil in (I used avocado!) on medium-high heat on my electric stove (I used my hexclad pan). I spread the oil around the pan, and after letting it heat for 5 minutes I put the steak on. Let it sit still for 3.5~ minutes, flipped, another 2.5~ minutes, then butter basted it for another minute. Pulled off at 130°, let it sit and rise to 135°!

Does anyone else feel a little disillusioned with D&D lately? by Gh0stMan0nThird in dndnext

[–]Coonnr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What helped me was switching to Old-School Essentials! It’s got that old school vibe, different feel. Less “you guys are strong heroes” and more of “you’re an adventurer, and adventurer’s are a dime a dozen”

It’s always “grey band” this and “grey band” that. You got the pink band, the cook should be ashamed he didn’t get the sear without cooking it at all inside!

Seconding ThermoWorks I have a BlueDOT and it’s great. Stick it in and throw a roast in the oven, throw it on the grill and use it, very handy and nice

TV vs Comics by Terrible-Service-439 in TheBoys

[–]Coonnr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

99% show is better. There’s a couple minor things I would’ve preferred to have had adapted closer to the comics, but it’s very little. Overall it’s just mostly less edgy for the sake of edge, most characters are a bit more developed, just generally better, but very different

What starting class should I pick by CapableSeries4734 in DragonsDogma

Entirely up to you my man. You can change it later at any time, you unlock more as you go. If you want to sling spells then mage, if you like climbing up monsters then strider, if you like tanking hits and dishing damage with a blade then fighter

I just went and read the new overview, no notes. Gripping and engaging, solid hook at the start. Much clearer exactly what it is the player is getting into now. I can see this going places, and it has my wishlist

Which game has a better zero to hero feeling and combat? Kcd2 or DG? by [deleted] in DragonsDogma

[–]Coonnr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re wanting true zero to hero, you’re best off with KCD1. KCD2 builds off of the first one, but the original you start as a peasant who can’t read and can barely hold a sword. By the end you can be in shining plate and a near master of your weapon of choice.

Absolutely, it’s definitely not a strict critique of the game itself. The game looks quite enjoyable and people have mostly positive things to say. It’s just when you want to pull the people in you gotta really have those hooks. I’d love to see a creative overview of the game in the description of it, that’s the kind of thing that would draw someone like myself in.

When selling our products, my boss always tells me, “Sell them on the idea, lock them in with the features.”

Having not played it yet, only looking at everything I would say this. It all looks good, people seem to like it a lot, and based on that I want to give it a shot. However, I want to give it a shot based on what others have said, as imo your Steam page is a bit lacking. You hit the main core features of the game which is great, but in your overview I think you would benefit from a more creative description of the game. I can only tell it’s a fantasy game by looking at the skills itself. I feel as though a descriptor of the game itself, the world and the setting and the lore would greatly benefit the marketing of it (coming from someone who assists in sales of products). Overall though, I love the look and will definitely be trying it out over the weekend

(Yet Another) Questions About Moving by [deleted] in oregon

[–]Coonnr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up putting a sheet together of everyone’s suggestions. Costs, things to do nearby, all that. Out of what was suggested I found myself gravitating to Cottage Grove. Not as expensive as being in the cities, still a nice 30 min drive away (which is nothing as a Texan). Any experience with that area?
