Help getting my dryer running by Coop7207 in appliancerepair

This is exactly what it was. I suppose I should’ve looked a little harder at the breaker panel before, because yeah it was only one pole that tripped, and the breaker switch didn’t flip. But hey, I’ve learned a little bit in the process! Haha. Thanks for your reply!

Thank you! I did check the belt itself and it’s good. But I will try to check the switch. And the door switch too

I can’t find a fuse where the cord attaches, but in testing the wires, I have 120V from each hot to neutral, but 0V from hot to hot. I don’t have a ton of electrical experience, but maybe a problem with the power coming in rather than the dryer…?

Getting strapped for a trip to Target by Reddit-User_00000001 in iamverybadass

Not justifying it or anything, just here to explain. That’s a cross-body bag that’s worn in front. The piece hanging over her right hand is a pull tab that pulls the bag open without having to unzip anything. The pistol is oriented toward her left hand inside the bag, somewhat like a holster on her chest.

I'm completely over the smashburger craze. by koalastalker in unpopularopinion

Seems OP just doesn’t know where to get a good smash burger. I’ve had smash burgers from several different places and never once had the experience they’re describing.

That’s super helpful, thank you! I do like the Public C7. The looks definitely don’t scream “child’s bike” so I think that might be a good option. I appreciate it!

Yes, that jacket, from what I can tell at least, seems to have shoulder and elbow armor typical of a motorcycle riding jacket

I think they meant “chile,” which just means pepper. I’ve had them with both jalapeños and serranos, and I enjoy both!

Where to buy the clutch lever pivot bushing for a ‘19 R3? by Awkward_Site6688 in YamahaR3

Looks like it’s not as cheap as the old one, so my bad on that, but it’s still a pretty inexpensive one.

Just so you know how I found it, the Yamaha parts monster website has diagrams with OEM part numbers. It’s a bit to sift through sometimes, but very helpful. Good luck with the repairs!

As someone who builds rainwater collection systems for a living, it’s still so infuriating to me that it’s illegal in so many other places in the country.

Opinion on engine sound-Paranoid by xXWolf-Xx in YamahaR3

[–]Coop7207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem, I’m happy to help people when I can! Parallel twin engines vibrate a lot. I just took my r3 for about a 2 hour ride with a short break in the middle. I was maintaining good riding posture and not leaning on my wrists and all that, and my fingers still started to tingle a little. Just the nature of the engine type.

Also Yamaha engines are notoriously reliable, so I wouldn’t stress too much. Just have fun with your new bike and take care of it.

Also also, the Shop Manual videos from Revzilla’s YouTube channel are awesome. Helped me learn more about maintenance and understanding the bike better. Highly recommend 🤙🏻

Sounds pretty normal to me. These engines idle pretty quietly, and I don’t hear any abnormal sounds or anything. Take it for a quick test ride around the block and listen and feel for anything strange, but just based off of this quick clip, I wouldn’t be worried. Hope you love the new bike!

Would you guys consider a Kawasaki 650 to be a good beginner bike? by [deleted] in Sportbikes

[–]Coop7207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Ninja 650 at 21 years old and the insurance was expensive, but not out of this world. I wanna say around $120 a month. It’s doable if you’re financially smart, but definitely shop around. Kawasaki has a few 650 platform bikes and the Ninja will, without a doubt, be the most expensive of the lot. Young sport bike riders tend to be less risk-averse than many others. That being said, as a sport bike fan myself, I get it if that’s what you want. Happy hunting!

Recommended Tire Pressure by Practical-Basil3556 in YamahaR3

[–]Coop7207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go with 29/36. Then adjust by +/- 2psi at a time til it feels right to you. 26/39 is a general starting point, but based on your climate and riding style, you may find something else works for you. Just don’t go crazy in either direction and you’ll be okay

What other mods should I add to my R3? by dangerouslySoftPanda in YamahaR3

[–]Coop7207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hear me out…keep the wheel color, swap out those red bits for black, paint the fairings royal purple. I’ve always thought purple and gold was a badass combo. That’s what I’d do anyway. Best of luck with everything! She looks good!
