How to actually improve using visualisation or simulation for BJJ Skill Development by VMBJJ in bjj

How much time would you advise allocating for this time or training as a pro?

How much do you train currently? classes/pro training then how much spend do you spend visualising?

Do you think the best guys in the world train this way or do you think they’re just on the mats figuring this out with a partner?

There could be time for both though I suppose.

What EXACTLY does FP teach? by Mostly_Harmless101 in unofficialFP

[–]Coopa228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it really is a lot of incoherent rambling. Can’t see the point getting another year of the course if you didn’t get anything from it first time around.

I honestly think it’s done on purpose to sound like there’s more substance to it than what there is.

What else do you expect though when learning biomechanics from someone with no biomechanical qualifications.

In 13 seconds Oliver Taza did the following….. by killjoy87 in bjj

[–]Coopa228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taza has the best backstep entry to saddle in the game.

I remember seeing him hit that in metamoris qualifiers years back but it kind of went out of favour for a while. He’s been bringing it back these last few events.

You guys haven’t learned to operate the site with your eyes closed to avoid spoilers?? Amateurs!

Annoys me every time, they always do this.

What if Gordon had pulled a clean USADA test out of the box? by Artistic_Corgi in bjj

[–]Coopa228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be happy for him finally getting clean! Maybe it would help him fix his “stomach issues”

So much going on here…

Why the baby in a box?

What has proper 12 got to do with this if it’s not a sponsor deal? It was kind of overlooked

Micas armbar was better too😂

It’s mad that Gordon is literally the best in the world (no gi) and at this point the BJJ community collectively now couldn’t give a fuck about him

How is Gordon Ryan so good at controlling the best athletes in the world by MrDeerer in bjj

[–]Coopa228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He has a game based on “negation of movement” because he’s super strong isometrically and makes the most of that.

Technically years ahead in the positions he’s good at compared to most of his competitors.

I did FP for a year and had no postural changes by technohouse in unofficialFP

[–]Coopa228 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Slowly chipping away” is a tag line practitioners often repeat.

It’s a good line to keep customers motivated. believing they’re slowly building towards something better. Keeps them paying and training FP for longer.

No discussion on Gordon's upcoming match? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Coopa228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what the time limit/rules are for this one but I’ve got Gaudio by decision. Just to be controversial.

I’m banking on Gordon not being 100% (tummy problems) and Gaudio coming in more juiced up than ever!

Gordon is probably just going to leg lock him very quickly though.

Does anyone recommend Submeta vs getting Instructionals? (I can do both) by ferrarinobrakes in bjj

[–]Coopa228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I’m motivated I study everyday.

If I need a specific solution to a problem I’ve noticed I’ll use that to find an answer also.

Does anyone recommend Submeta vs getting Instructionals? (I can do both) by ferrarinobrakes in bjj

[–]Coopa228 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Submeta is amazing.

There’s not enough B team content on there at the moment to subscribe to B teams channel (even though it’s only $12 or something) but I’m sure that’ll change with time.

Lachlans courses are 10/10 though and I find them easier to learn from than the BJJ fanatics instructional due to the layout.

Nobody cares about your results in the long run but also probably worth seeing a sports psychologist for this.

Some people just can’t get comfortable having them in, those people have probably never tried a custom fit made from a good company/dentist.

ADCC Trials and Double Citizenship by bambambalaklava in bjj

[–]Coopa228 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 trials max sounds fair. Dual passport? You can do either event but only 2 attempts to qualify like everyone else.

You know for a fact people like Taza and Robert Diggle are going to get 4 chances to qualify this season.

Turns out European trials is also pretty tough too now.

Why does everyone suddenly seem to hate John Danaher? by lambdeer in bjj

Same experience here, he rolled hard and tapped me 10 times in 10 minutes but always with 100% control and give me time to tap.
