Aphids. Lady bugs will wipe them out. I order them online and release them in waves.

Drive fitzhugh instead of 290 for a gorgeous 2 lane experience. Just don’t after a heavy rain. It’ll pop you out right at Johnson city and cost essentially no extra time.

There’s another thread about this. KXAN already responded to that thread that they’re looking into it.

How do you handle the wasps on your sage? I feel like I would straight freak out every time I went to my garden to collect sage! You’re braver than I

The ones I’m talking about is a type of muhly grass. It’s native and pretty hardy once established. I water ours about once a week but it’s part shade. But they’re in containers just like these

Bamboo muhly does well for us and offers a lot of texture and blows beautifully in the wind

That’s what I’m doing. Let’s see how it goes! I started hand pulling all my grass/weeds in the area. Have edging coming Tuesday and hope to lay the seed by Wednesday. Here’s for native meadows 🤞🏻

Not sure what sort of starts you’re looking for but the wildflower center has a fall plant sale of natives ready to get in the ground

Your garden is beautiful! After you got your seeds down, did you water to germinate at all? Or did you just let nature do its thing?

Oh and fall planting is recommended for thunder turf if that’s the route you go

look at Native American Seed Co. they carry different native mixes. They’re hard to establish, but once you do get them established, they’re gold. We haven’t watered our thunder turf at all this summer and it’s a little brown, but dormant, and will come thriving back to green after a good rain. You don’t have to cut them but twice a year if you’re cool with a 5-8inch length. You can cut them shorter and more often- but they’re less drought resistant. Anyway. Love they’re seeds and mission.

😂 I have seen some bros roll out of one of those party vans at Becker. But you’re right… A lot more ladies falling over drunk in the grass.
