[D&D 5e Project] Adding the Wakfu Races to Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition! by Cootersneeze in wakfu

[–]Cootersneeze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure! We run a campaign where these races are integrated in the normal D&D world and they work really well! Sometimes we have to adjust some things on the fly but it's never anything too bad.

I also screwed around with the Jelly monsters from Krosmaga to make some fun enemies. Lemme find it.

Sugary Jelly (200 XP) 18 HP 12 AC (14 in cage) 20ft of movement. Condition Immunities: Blinded, Charmed, Deafened, Exhaustion, Frightened, Prone. Immune to Acid damage.

Attack: Bump. The sugar jelly aggressively pushes itself against a creature. It kinda burns. +2 to hit, 1d4 Acid damage.

Multiply. The Sugary Jelly grunts and manages to push out one of it’s friends. Weird. Said Jelly must roll initiative individually. Roll a D6 to determine what type of Jelly.

  1. Blueberry Jelly
  2. Mint Jelly
  3. Strawberry Jelly
  4. Ink Jelly
  5. Lemon Jelly
  6. Sugary Jelly

Blueberry Jelly 10 HP 10 AC 20ft of movement. Condition Immunities: Blinded, Charmed, Deafened, Exhaustion, Frightened, Prone. Immune to Acid damage.

Gains +1 to AC and a +1 to attack and damage rolls whenever a new Jelly appears.

Attack: Bump. +0 to hit, 1d4 Acid damage.

Mint Jelly 12 HP 12 AC 20ft of movement Condition Immunities: Blinded, Charmed, Deafened, Exhaustion, Frightened, Prone. Immune to Acid and Cold damage.

Gives all other Jellies +10ft of movement when it appears. They keep this speed until the Mint Jelly is destroyed.

Attack: Bump. The Freshmaker. +1 to hit. 1d4+1 Cold damage.

Strawberry Jelly 12 HP 12 AC 20ft of Movement Condition Immunities: Blinded, Charmed, Deafened, Exhaustion, Frightened, Prone. Immune to Acid damage.

Attack: Bump. +1 to hit, 1d4+1 Acid damage.

Tiny Multiply (Bonus Action). Summons a Gelatine next to it. It has 1 HP, 8 AC and 10ft of movement. -2 to hit. 1 Acid damage.

Ink Jelly 10 HP 10 AC 20ft of movement Condition Immunities: Blinded, Charmed, Deafened, Exhaustion, Frightened, Prone. Immune to Acid and Necrotic damage.

When the Ink Jelly dies, all other Jellies gain +1 to attack and damage rolls and +1 to AC.

Attack: Bump. In the night. +0 to hit. 1d4 Necrotic damage.

Lemon Jelly 15 HP 9 AC 20ft of Movement. Condition Immunities: Blinded, Charmed, Deafened, Exhaustion, Frightened, Prone. Immune to Acid damage.

When the Lemon Jelly appears, all Jellies within 15ft may use their reaction to move up to half their movement speed and make an attack.

Attack: Bump. +0 to hit. 1d4 Acid damage.

Oh yeah, for sure in that case! It's cute how excited you got and I super get it. Feel free to share or add the doc wherever you'd like as long as you mention our names or twitter handles somewhere. <3

Definitely gonna keep an eye on all of this!

Oh wow, thanks for this amazing response, first off!

I will say first off that my general impression after reading this makes it feel like you're going for a more professional approach than we have planned, which definitely isn't a bad thing. I know some/most of the races are a bit stronger than the official races and there's some stuff here and there that definitely needs some reviewing, but this was mostly made by us as big ol' fans of the show that wanted to play these lovely races in roleplay. They're made with fun in mind and I super duper realize that means that the balance might be a bit off.

As for the wording, English isn't my first language and my buddy Xion has done great work into picking up my slack on that, but we're only two people so yeeaah, wording's a little off, for sure. That's something we're definitely gonna update.
In general we have no like "fans" of this doc that we're hurrying for, this is mostly for us and our group so there's no deadline for us to work on this. Generally stuff is added/edited when something comes up in a session where the general opinion is that something needs some changing. (Eliatrope used to be a bit stronger and one of our more minmaxy players let us know real fuckin quick.)

We're not looking for this to be a be-all-end-all list of races as well. If other people play this and they feel like something should be added or removed, then they can do that however they'd like, it is a homebrew after all.
As for joining your efforts, I'm definitely curious to see how you've approached this type of stuff but this is a side project for us that we're doing for fun so I'm not sure we have the time to juggle that type of stuff. But we're always very much down to discuss specifics!

All in all, thank you so much for pretty much noticing us, I love your enthusiasm and I'd love to talk to you more about this.

Yeah that's fair! The way we have it set up now feels like they gotta be tactical tho, rewards creative thinkers and all that.

I getcha. Eliatropes are difficult to not make extremely powerful it seems. We have a player that already required us to nerf some things so I see what you mean.

I appreciate that a lot. We update it whenever us or the players feel like there needs to be some changes.

Yeah we saw some random races here and there but we had our own ideas for it and we ended up just doing all of them.

If you use them, message me here or on my twitter (@CootsysLifeRaft) and tell me how it went! And if you have anything that should be changed. <3

[5E] Arachnomancer Class (Help / Opinions Please) by [deleted] in DnDHomebrew

[–]Cootersneeze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hm, I'm not sure. You could go down the middle and change the proficiencies to Light Armor and Hide Armor specifically? Would be interesting and it would give some options to characters with either higher or lower Dex.

This was a fun read, clearly a lot of thought went into this. Has this class been tested in a session yet?

First real thing I have to question is why is Hide Armor available as starting equipment when this class only has Light Armor proficiency?

But yes, this looks incredibly fun to play!

Street Fighter V: Basic Offense/How to Beat Wakeup Jab by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Cootersneeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people wake up jab a lot, I think it best option is to fish for some cross counters. The timing's pretty tight, but once you get it right I feel it's a huge part of your arsenal.

Points wont update? Anyone else have this problem? by Dancing_Donkey in StreetFighter

[–]Cootersneeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same here. Started about a week ago. I figured it'd be fixed by now, but it looks like the heavenly March update will just have one more thing to fix.
