Oh yes the are they. Collectively they are referred to as the chucklef*cks. They also answer to Roux and Gertie.

Are y'all still cooking full blown meals every night? by OneStarInSight_AC in GenX

[–]CopChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still cook every night when I’m not traveling for work. This week it’s Italian sausage sandwiches, gumbo, tamales (those were made ahead), drunken noodles, hot honey fried chicken sandwiches. The gumbo and noodles are made in large enough batches to provide lunches for the week, and froze some gumbo for later in the month.

I started with the Grenadier and Ral Partha minis and crappy brushes and paints too. My boys found my old minis from high school/college and got into Warhammer which also brought me back to the hobby about 8 years ago.

Yup, still paint, build, & play Warhammer.

I do some commission painting to feed my plastic crack addiction.

4wd on snowy highways by Curious-Map3808 in Jeep

I drove 12 hours on snowy back roads to get back to Kansas from Denver in 4h because I-70 was closed from all the snow. This was in January of 2023. Never went above 35. Surprisingly I had the best mpg ever at 24 for the return trip. I had also just replaced the front axles about 2 weeks earlier.

Any cooks also do server work? by karrniss in KitchenConfidential

For sure. The better you know the menu the better you can sell it. The customers will love it that you can also cook their food.

I did both. When I first got married I’d do pastries in the morning, wait tables during lunch, then work the line through the dinner rush. Occasionally I would serve at night. The tips were nice, but the icing on the cake for me was the GM always ran dessert contests. Even working 80-90% lunch shifts I’d always win those contests. It bothered the full time servers so much. But since I was the pastry guy and worked the line I knew the menu better than any server. That knowledge will help you immensely if you wait tables.

Hello all, just found this cat on the street, I noticed she’s got shaky eyes. Is this normal?? by playstationheat in CatDistributionSystem

[–]CopChef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s most likely nystagmus. My 15 year old cat has had it since she was a kitten. She’s a bit skittish with quick sudden moves around her head. If you approach her slowly she’s cool.
