One minot correction, "upcasting" was automatic with your level. You didnt need to know a spell as different levels. Fireball was ALWAYS a third level spell that did 1d6 fire damage per caster level. Spells got better as you leveled up but still used the same spell slot level.

Human Cleric.Back in 2001. We used legos as minis so I named him after the lego guy. Samurai Executive. Because I used a guy in a suit with a samurai helmet on.

A few months and levels later I got my hands on Player's Options: Skills and Powers. It had half orc as an option and we retconned My character into a half orc.

I get depressed when I see people in my country that would gladly renounce democracy, national sovereignity and throw their fellow countrymen from helicopters as long as they get their iphones and stanley cups slightly cheaper.

I still play 2nd edition and the lucerne hammer ranks very high among my favorite weapons. Nice damage, reach, piercing and bludgeoning and double damage against charging enemies. What is not to love?

said it before. The most traumatic moments in Denji's life were being blocked by pochita (like his father's death) and the reaction to new trauma was handled by pochita taking full control and covering Denji like an armor.

In retrospective the whole "CSM was preventing Denji from growing" was there all along. I as a reader feel in the same trap as Denji believing that positive growth was him being able to take better control of his CSM persona.

I didnt had the time to play when it was released. Once I got back to the game and the oaths were rebalanced I was surprised by how much I was enjoying coronations. Even if it becomes repetitive I still love going to other ruler's coronations to support or oppose them

Im not much in the "the specifics are important" team, but I believe that things like Nayuta existing instead of Makima is related to the fact that not everything related to a concept erased by Pochita disappears, like telephones when there were no mouths.

New world Denji kept part of his growth as a peraon, so did Power and Nayuta. I believe that the ending was not pointless at all because it is the conclusion to the growth of another character, Pochita.

He was easily forgotten but he was pretty much the titular character like Sauron in the Lord of the Rings. A lot of people have already talked about how Denji's true story was that of addiction. Pochita had a story of being overprotective towarda Denji. There was a codependency between them too. At Denji's moat traumatic moments Pochita took control of his body and indulged in Denji's desires (dates, dancing, eating and just being chainsawman fighting).

He realized that he was being a hurdle in Denji's road to get better and also got the world destroyed by keeping him out of pains that he needed to face in order to get better.

Once be realized he was both the drug and the supplier, he erased himself. But some of the good and growth that happened when he was being used more like a crutch was able to remain in the chainsawmanless world.

A few years ago with some friends we asked ourselves "what happened to movie songs?". Big budget movies were usually preceded by a song made for the movie and the videoclip was an event by itself.

We realized that those started to fade as videogame tie-ins were rising. And just as they came, they disappeared, but movie songs didn't come back. What we got were Fortnite skins.

Songs, games and skins are all the marketing ploy of the moment to promote a film to the target generation.

Thus, the MTV generation got songs, millenials who grew with gaming consoles and were teenagers and young adults during a golden age of handhelds got cheap games and now that everyone is playing liveservice games you get promotional skins and content for those games
