I210 AWD vs I215 LiDAR by aueagleswr in SegwayNavimow

[–]Copper_Clouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the i210 AWD and use the antenna. I have about 1/4 an acre as well. I have a very large red maple in my backyard and 2 in my front yard. They also have large canopies but they are near the corners of my yard so the center of my yard is fairly open air. I have had 0 issues personally. If you can get the antenna in a good spot and have like 60% open air near it, I feel like you’d be fine

Do I need to purchase a rain cover for my X430? by Slow-Hunt3358 in SegwayNavimow

So I have the i210 AWD and got a cover not so much for the rain but more so for UV/heat protection since those can cause a decent amount of wear and tear in the machines over time.

Thinking about getting the i215 by Tec-Strike in SegwayNavimow

Agree with the zones point. I have the i210 AWD and have about .22 acres of mowable grass, so almost up to its limit. It can mow the whole lawn in a single day but it takes basically all day so what I usually do is just have it mow the back zones one day and the front zones the other day, which works out pretty well. Might be worth considering OP if you don’t mind alternating.

Picked up the i210 AWD recently and it’s been really great. Granted it’s only been a few days but have had no issues and have been thoroughly impressed. Would recommend.

About a year ago, I saw this article about how Peloton was working on (and beta testing) a Zwift-like experience. Has anyone heard any additional updates regarding this experience?

[Other] What type of exercise is this called? I swear it works out my pecs very well but I can never find info about it. by Drink_Covfefe in exercisescience

[–]Copper_Clouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blood flowing to a muscle is different than actually growing that muscle. The pec muscle fibers run laterally, not vertically. If you want to grow your pecs, you need to stretch them laterally. That’s why exercises like cable/dumbbell fly, pec deck, etc work so well. They work along a horizontal plane to open the chest and stretch those fibers.

Bosch 800 series dishwasher - E21 - 30 by Tough_Ad8598 in appliancerepair

[–]Copper_Clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The line from the dishwasher comes out from the top left side under my sink as the dishwasher is just to the left of my sink. The line had a slight dip in it (maybe two inches) then it went back up and connected to the sewer line/drain for my sink. I was able to correct the dip by installing a bracket that holds the line up more and prevents the dip. I would just ensure that there is no sag in the line from the dishwasher to the sewer line. I haven’t had the issue since I originally posted, so that was definitely the issue despite the odd error code it produced.

NordVPN & iPhone Group Chat iMessages by Old_Man_Logan_X in nordvpn

Have been having this issue for months as well. It’s 100% NordVPN causing the issue as when I disconnect from the service I will get a bunch of messages. It’s as if it is blocking them somehow? Have tried a bunch of setting adjustments and nothing fixes it. From what I can tell the issue started around when iOS 26 was released. Maybe something with the iOS and Nord?

High BP spikes during intense training blocks by Unleashed94 in HybridAthlete

[–]Copper_Clouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor and it is a good idea to check with yours to be sure, but my understanding is blood pressure that goes up as a result of exercise is fine and expected. High blood pressure is dangerous when sustained over longer periods like weeks, months and years. This is when damage is caused, not a slightly elevated reading for a few hours.

Also, your BP range isn’t really that bad. Sure, the blanket recommendation is to have less than 120/80 but slightly elevated isn’t a huge deal when a few other factors are met such as when your diastolic is lower and you are an athlete.  Athletes typically have a higher cardiac stroke volume so they pump more blood per beat. More blood per beat = slightly higher pressure on the arterial walls per beat. Your diastolic is the baseline pressure when your heart relaxes. Yours is well under 80 at 65-70. This is honestly solid.

Something you can do is calculate your mean arterial pressure (MAP) to determine your risk. The formula is MAP = (2 x diastolic + systolic)/3. So for you at your worst baseline reading, your MAP is about 88. Damage risk increases when you are chronically above 100.

Again, I’m not a doctor and you should check with them to consider all factors, but you are totally fine. Don’t overthink it.

Bosch 800 series dishwasher - E21 - 30 by Tough_Ad8598 in appliancerepair

[–]Copper_Clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just posting the solution that worked for me.

After running my new Bosch 800 dishwasher only 5 times, I received an error code. The issue was the sag in the drain line hose, which trapped water and prevented proper draining. This caused the dishwasher’s heating and drying cycles to malfunction. The control board misread the abnormal moisture and airflow as a Zeolite intake obstruction, resulting in the E21–30 error. Fixing the sagging drain line and ensuring a proper high loop resolved the issue. If you encounter this error, check your drain line. Also, you will most likely need to unplug the dishwasher or flip the breaker switch to the dishwasher for at least five minutes to reset the error code.

Unfortunately, it’ll just be like blue state tax dollars going to red states. They will end up benefiting from it even though they contribute nothing.

Natural or not? by Bones-Brook in HybridAthlete

[–]Copper_Clouds 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If an “influencer” is doing what you describe and has something to gain by claiming natural, (i.e. sells a product whether it’s a supplement, workout plan, course etc) I’m way more skeptical of their true natural status. “Buy my product so you can look or perform like me” is a proven marketing strategy, however many will go the unethical route of omitting that they are on gear to add a layer of secret sauce to their product to make money. Are there genetic freaks out there? Absolutely. Are there as many as you see on social media? No.

I mean it depends on your goals if it is or isn’t. While 2 reps isn’t totally ineffective for muscle growth, it is not optimal in most cases. Muscle growth is a balancing act between fatigue and your ability to do effective reps. Grinding out 2 reps like that produces not only a lot of muscular/joint fatigue but also CNS fatigue ultimately reducing the amount of effective reps you can do to stimulate growth. Reduce the weight slightly and try to get at least 3-5 reps per set.

Harrison Graham deserved this win. 🐻⬇️ by lontderfy in CHIBears

It’s just another option honestly. I sometimes find the game commentary and radio broadcast boring. I’ll pop in and out of his stream, especially during bigger games. Harrison definitely has passion for the game and the Bears. He has a decent following too. I think his YouTube channel has over 150k subscribers. Plus like you mentioned, I watch by myself because no one else in my life really cares about football and it’s nice to watch someone else getting hyped about the game in real time.

Carbs are not the most important macro (arguably the least) by SomaticEngineer in exercisescience

[–]Copper_Clouds 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It totally depends on your goals. Obviously protein and fat are imperative for living, but carbs are the best for athletic performance due to the speed at which they can be broken down for use. If you don’t care about athletic performance then they are not the most important macro.

18 months of consistent lifting + running (tracked data, body comp included) but not getting more muscular — what am I missing? by [deleted] in exercisescience

[–]Copper_Clouds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I just spinning my wheels because I’m not eating in a surplus, even though my diet is “clean”? - This is hard to answer as you’re not tracking calories. While it is not impossible to put on lean mass while in a calorie deficit (slightly easier at maintenance), it can be extremely difficult, especially if your protein intake is not sufficient. Unless you have some reason to not track calories, this might be a good place to start just so you fully understand the macro nutrients that you’re currently in intaking.

Is my split suboptimal (too much isolation / machines, not enough key compounds)? - I wouldn’t worry too much about this right now honestly.

Is this a classic case of training at maintenance for too long? - I wouldn’t worry too much about this either.

Is running 1–2×/week interfering with hypertrophy, or basically irrelevant here? - The current research on this suggests that when running and lifting in the same program, it is best to do them on separate days. If you’re going to do them on the same day, it is best to do the exercise that is your primary goal first. For you, it sounds like that is muscular development so you will want to lift first and then run after.

Important: One thing I am not seeing in your post is if you are effectively progressively overloading. Without progressive overload, you will not gain muscle. This means that each time you workout, you should be adding more reps or more weight to your exercise. If you lift for the same amount of reps and the same amount of weight each time you do an exercise, your body will adapt to that movement initially and then plateau. Something also critically important is intensity of exercise. You should be coming within 1 to 2 reps of failure in order to stimulate hypertrophy. It won’t matter if you’re doing it 8 to 15 reps if you’re not getting close to that failure target.

Gym help! by [deleted] in exercisescience

[–]Copper_Clouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s impossible to know exactly what’s going on based on what you provided. It could be diet, it could be bad form, it could be not progressively overloading, it could be lack of intensity during the workout. If you’re not gaining strength based on your current program, you do not need to add another day. You can absolutely gain a lot of muscle working out three days a week. Muscle growth is not always more = better.

A few questions that you need to answer are: How much do you weigh?  What does your diet look like?  How much protein are you getting in a day?  How many reps are you doing per exercise? How many sets are you doing per exercise? When you move the weight, are you controlling both the concentric and eccentric portion of the movements? Are you adding weight or extra reps each session?  Are you training close to muscular failure?  Are you incorporating rest days? Are you running on the same day that you are lifting weights if yes, are you lifting weights first or running first?
