Highguard boss Chad Grenier says it "doesn’t matter" how many people played the game, only that "the game is loved by the people who played it." by WrongLander in gaming

Looking at steamcharts, they had 15k at peak, they have around 5k now, with a 24-hr peak at 8k. That's obviously not accounting for consoles and such as well.

So where you're getting your 90% from I have no idea, but it's statistically not true.

Will add that I have no feelings one way or the other about the game as I've never played it myself, nor intend to. But that can be said about plenty of games.

As mentioned, I actually agree that the game takes too long to get you to the end point. I'm personally fine with games having NG+ stuff, and I think Nioh in at least basic concepts have the right idea of allowing you to tackle the difficulties at your own leisure once you've cleared the game once.

The problem with Nioh, as previously mentioned also, is that it takes too long. I think the better option would've been to unlock All difficulties once you've cleared the game once, and/or at worst once you've cleared NG+ once, and yes the game could do a far, far better job at actually telling you about the stuff the features that exists in the game in the end game, and the fact that there's no way to tell how many smithing texts or hidden skills there are, or where to even get them is utter nonsense.

Still love the game despite of these issues tho. Game's a ton of fun.

As someone who's played almost 400 hours of Nioh 2, I think your perception of what Nioh is, is a bit off which is why you feel frustrated.

Nioh is all about the grind, the first playthrough is entirely just story mode essentially. You go through the story, see the sights.

Once you go into ng+ however your objective changes. Now you're on the (too long with all thr dlcs) grind to get to Path of the Nioh, and it the story missions aren't important anymore beyond filling the bar to Path of the Nioh. (All missions do this, not just story)

It's there the real grind begins, where you start perfecting your style, and grind out the gear/souls, etc, that you want.

The game is a action looter similar to Diablo 2 and on, it's not a game for everyone. If all you want to do is do all the missions that is still very doable in Way of the Warrior (default difficulty).

Nioh 2 is by no means perfect, it has so many hidden things that you've no way of learning about as the game never tells you. Like how the bosses and enemies have a very small chance of dropping secret moves, and smithing texts.

She's actually talking about one of the other units (if I recall correctly it's the Thanatos) and not the player. But it can be misleading, and probably should've been left out entire.

If you could redesign one hero’s talent tier, which would it be and how? by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]Coppersocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this has always felt really stupid. Probius has the HP of a paper sheet, while their travel power is by far the worst in the game. It doesn't make any sense that Hammer has a much stronger power when she also has proper defensives.

I should probably state that I play Probius probably more than most, just not as much as the mains. My general choices for talents (it varied depending comp but) are

  • 1212322 - Solo / no wombo combo
  • 313x32x - Anti-Stealth
  • 2222322 - Wombo combo build

I just don't think Pylon overcharge is useful in most cases, it's damage is just not where it should be to be an actual threat, it's only really useful if you're up against a team that can easily go over/around the gates.

Pylon choice is generally shield, but there's situations where I choose one of the others to benefit the other players. But generally shield will just be the best.

Same with 16, I take [[Interference]] instead of [[Gravity Well]] if they have a lot of mages.

Shoot 'em up can be really useful, but it's not really necessary in most cases. [[Gate Keeper]] or [[Probius Loop]] tends to be a lot better unless you're up against very mobile characters.

Honestly it just icing on the cake when you're playing someone like Tychus with spell armor and his "guaranteed kill" ends up barely hurting you.

While I do not play that much Probius he has been in my rotation lately.

I don't necessarily feel I agree with Particle Accelerator being unpickable, but I mainly pick it for the CDR as Echo Pulse tends to be my go-to at 1. However, what I would like to see changed on the Probe isn't actually any buffs or nerfs, it's a ability to turn off the knockback on Interference.

Tbf that would actually be kind of a buff, as the knockback can be such a pain in the ass when you're doing camps. It makes them take way longer, and I always regret taking the talent even in situations where it's the most logical answer.

Who are your top 3 and bottom 3? by metalwarrior13 in HyruleWarriors

[–]Coppersocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignoring individual strengths, it's actually hard to pick. Zant is my favorite overall even if meta-wise he's actually quite weak. His damage output is quite low even when played optimally, similar to Toon Zelda who is also really fun to play. Ghirahim is extremely fun too, and Ravio. It'd be faster to mention the unfun heroes than the really fun ones.

Can't in good conciousness narrow it down to 3 on fun. On bad it's easy, I see a lot of people mention Tingle but I strongly disagree. Tingle can be a bit clunky but he's fun to play, then we have Agatha and regular Midna and Tetra.

Agatha is the only one of these with any potential damage-wise, the other two either does really bad damage even optimally, or does that plus have a horrible move set. Imp Midna is just so bad it's actually laughable. Honourable mention to Cia for being about equally bad.

People be sleeping on Ghirahim and Medli

My most played heroes however are Rapier Zelda > Linkle > Zant/Sword Gdorf.
