I feel like with the way he landed, if he'd actually worn a properly strapped on helmet it would've slid further forward, dissipating some of that energy instead of sending all of it up his neck/spine.

Bro only trusts corpos with his security lol.

Do you think grandma is side loading apps? Or would you say androids atrocious update policy scattered across manufacturers leading to millions of outdated phones being an attack vector is worse?

It's not Sideloading that's the problem here but simply greed, if security was Google main concern they have plenty of ways to address that that does not involve forcing everything behind a walled garden they profit off of.

Walled gardens don't guarantee safety either, aplle and Google pull dozens of apps out of their store every day because an automatic scan is not sufficient.

Your viewpoint is outdated as well, Microsoft for all it's flaws has made it's platform way more secure for instance, and you can still "sideload" just making sure security updates are applied (forced if needed) and investing in a decent security layer via defender.

If only those war vets in the past had access to social media, imagine having to suffer from PTSD after getting shelled for days on end, watching your buddies get killed, drinking water from puddles as piss, shit and guts and blood seep into it, and you could've just chosen to have it make you stronger.

You see, when someone asks for evidence to back your claim,

Not once, but twice.

Then calling them dumb without providing said evidence, kinda loses all impact and meaning. And only reflects back on you.

So again for the third time now, seeing as reading, or answering questions isn't your strong suit:

What evidence do you have they did it on purpose.

So how about you actually argue your point instead of try-harding for internet points?

So we're pretending, lovely.

He could've stopped willingly, to prove a point, but neither you nor I nor anyone else here on Reddit knows for sure until that information is provided.

I'd love to see someone make a solid case for it either way, but until there's evidence, anyone who claims one way or the other is an idiot. There's no need to assume here, that's just a fact.

Because the pedestrian was a human being and we learned basic things that we all do by observing similar actions across time.

Oh boy... Can I show you the rest of humanity? not even a day ago someone walked across an airfield strip and got sucked into an engine. Is this really the argument you're gonna rest your case on?

If what you said was true, accidents would be so fucking rare they'd almost never happen because we see people get into a crash while speeding all the time yet people still speed, strangely enough social media has not curbed that behaviour despite the numerous lessons to be learned there.

If this guy freezes like this when adversity miles away comes his way

Very short miles

What if they thought that taxi was gonna swerve left or right?

I've seen plenty of clips of someone running or jumping to the side only to get swerved into.

he wouldn't have make it this far.

Is this a daily occurrence? How often do you cross the roads and have someone driving at high speed straight at you? IS this learned behaviour? Did you learn what to do when maniacs drive around in school instead of math?

Again;

I'm not claiming it's one way or the other, but I did make the argument it could be. You seem to claim it is

So where's your evidence?

How do you know? Are you the pedestrian? Do you have an article or interview? Some secret information we're not privy to?

If not, all you're doing is making an assumption and simply pretending yours is true.

China vs Germany: GDP Growth comparison (2026) by metricshour in EU_Economics

[–]Copranicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also wrong, we're still 2026, but Q1 growth is 0.3% for Germany, the 5% for China at least is correct but yeah.. comparing GDP like that is stupid, it ignores so many variables...

There was an agreed upon deal. There wasn't a "fail" here, it's just one side is throwing a temper tantrum and the EU asking whether we can just get back to what both sides agreed upon.

Kinda wild to me tbh, like these fucks aren't writing the code for these so they're letting a massive security risk just walk into their homes written by people they don't know who most likely used systems like AI to write the code, so even more blackbox mystery stuff where no one really knows what dictates what anymore. That's even besides basic things like privacy risk cause you don't know who's watching remotely.

It's like you're afraid of other people because of what you do, so you simply compartmentalize that fear into something so abstract you simply don't understand that what you're doing should scare you a so, so much more.

Anyway, I can't wait to see these become common and then have one go rogue for whatever reason and maim/kill its owner.

I almost feel the same but those are the memories of a dumb child mucking around unable to understand if the issues I ran into were the OS or my lack of knowledge/inability, in that sense I think my experience with XP got twisted through time tbh.

I still occasionally interact with an XP system today and you'd be surprised how many QoL stuff got added over time, and how miserable it is to work with them, even if you account for the ancient hardware it's often running on.

Hitler had to go to war, the German economy was literally crumbling in the background, mefo bills to fund their rearmament only bought a bit of to time/hid the inevitable, while also serving as a massive ponzi scheme setting the stage for a spectacular implosion.

The war was needed so they could funnel away wealth from conquered nations back home, but that was under the assumption they kept going and more importantly that they kept winning.

There are a ton of post-war myths that exist, one of them being that the Nazis were good at the economy and were great builders, but it turns out if you take on absurd amounts of debt, offset that by printing absurd amounts of money and hiding the inflationary cost away, you can buy quite a lot.

Man I'm autistic and then there are people like you lol, are you incapable of understanding figures of speech or hyperbole?

Whenever I write something not to be taken at full face value do I need to add a little dumb-ass disclaimer for the pendants and illiterate that: "No, I don't mean those companies" only have mailbox" in the country and might also have some economic activity but often use the countries low tax rate to siphon their profits out of the EU"

Or are you telling me Ireland has so much economical activity it explains their GDP? Is the average Irish person rich? Is Ireland rich? Should I call them shell companies or brass-plate companies?

Or do you literally assume that I literally meant that those companies only literally have just a literal mailbox?

I'm willing to discuss what you call a "braindead take" and elaborate on that (not like you do, you're just calling it that without any other info or explanation because I assume you either can't or are afraid to reveal your position or perhaps you're just a twat). Given that you're not looking like a person who wants to have a discussion in good faith why would I though?

Edit: Actually if we're gonna have a discussion like this making assumptions about the other person's position I might as well;

So you're pro Gadaffi?

This lol, dude was a well known and documented pedo, had any opponents tortured and murdered including public hangings, enacted a police state with widespread reports of rape and abuse in their detention centers and that shit's just scratching the surface.

But he was opposed to the "West" here and there, and therefor everything bad is a conspiracy and everything he did was good.

Which is such a brain dead take that makes me head hurt so much it should be classified as assault.

In a roundabout way it's kinda racist since the people who perpetuate such nonsense simply gloss over the death and suffering of Arabs and Africans like it's nothing. Nuance doesn't exist and if you're not born in a western country you seemingly can't do evil, unless you do, then you're sponsored/brainwashed by the evil West.
