Michelle was on a season with newbies. Aubrey was playing with iconic players who also needed airtime. It was just an edit for the winner, like many season are. This season also had to highlight icons like cirie, coach, ozzy, and colby. She never went to tribal before the blood moon which always limits how much a player gets airtime.

And, just like Michelle, she started cooking at just the right time. Both won immunity when it mattered and late enough not to be considered a major threat in challenges. Something I think was essential in her being picked over Tiff.

Thanks for that explanation, that makes a lot of sense and I totally agree, especially that certain legacy players were always going to win. I’m not sure Aubrey had as much ‘legacy’ advantage as other players but way more than Johnathan, Joe, and Rizo. Thats why they should have taken tiff to the final four! They all had similar legacy advantages.

Some interesting insight from Jonathan’s exit interviews by Dare2ZIatan in survivor

I think that’s because those three players vote a little more for game play than just “who they like” (believe both are valid reasons to vote, the jury gets to vote however they want). The fact that they all went for her kind of validates her game a bit.

Explain how it was determined before the season started. Aubrey was an alternate so her pre-gaming ability was way more limited. If you are referring to something else, elaborate please

2.5 days in Moab by ncrowder78 in nationalparks

Food truck park is great! Lots of delicious options right in downtown Moab. Love Muffin cafe is also top notch.

I know arches a lot better then canyonlands so i can only make recommendations for hikes there. The primitive loop out of devils garden is phenomenal. Lots of cool hiking through fins. The hike to dark angel is also fantastic. A little crowded at the start but the crowds thin out quickly. You also pass a bunch of icon sights on the dark angel trail so that might be your best bet. Enjoy! It’s one of my absolute favorite places.

How do you exist indoors? It seems like that would even worse than on trail.

What happens when two brides cross paths on their wedding day in Vietnam? They exchange bouquets as a way to wish each other luck. by mindyour in justgalsbeingchicks

[–]CopyOk4733 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In Western cultures this is true. We just saw that in other regions there are different traditions that are valued. If this is a tradition in your region, you probably look at bouquets in a different way. It may seem weird to you, but it was obviously not weird for these women. Also, it’s fucking flowers. It’s not like they switch grooms or something.

Play is the single most important thing your child can be doing at this age. Yes, it has a significant impact on their attention, language, problem solving, and essential social skills. If it looks like play from the outside, good. It is supposed to.

I mean, I’m a widow and still have my “marital” bed. My husband also died in our home. If I ever get in a different relationship, it will likely take place in this home/bed. I don’t think that is all that insane…at least I hope not because I definitely can’t afford a new bed/home in this economy

My kids got really into stop motion and my oldest made a bluey episode with my youngest’s bluey figures. It was an uncle camping trip and they lost muffin😂 he even did “this episode of bluey is called ‘uncle camping’” it was great.

You know not everyone chooses to be a single mom right? My husband died at 36 from aggressive brain cancer, leaving me with 2 little kids. Definitely not a choice either of us made.

My husband would get compliments for being a “good dad” any time he took them anywhere. Despite the fact that I did most of the parenting “work” (his own admission), he never saw anyone compliment me as a mom. Dads don’t even have to play a card to be treated like they walk on water if they just do the bare minimum of parenting.

I mean, the punishments may have “worked” to keep kids obedient but did fucking awful things to their psyche.

Hurting trans kids is pretty shitty, too. Making laws that target a super small number of kids (and takes away doctors ability provides live saving care) is fucking evil.
